Thanks for your input. Bungalow, the furniture is by Statesville Chair, and I had it custom ordered in the wine plush corduroy from a local furniture store. I suppose I could order a couch through them, but as I recall they were enormously expensive and I'm not willing to ante up that much at this point in my life. I did do a quick search for Vanguard Eastlake/bungalow collection, but couldn't find anything. Is Vanguard the name of the furniture company? I'll also look into Drexel. Thanks for the tips! It may just be that I decide to sell these items and start all over again -- if so, I will let you know :)

Ok, Kippy, here's more a of styles/colors blend question. :-) Suede Old Hickory Tannery Sofa. Our green couches. Safavieh rug (if it's soggy, I'm sorry. I've been drooling on it for a while now...) Yellow chairs? I'm definitely willing to look for other chairs, but one of my dd's really likes these so, hey, who knows. I also kind of like the blue plaid chairs... And for those who are wondering how on earth we'd fit 3 couches plus 2 chairs, here's a thought: The pictures look dinky. Instead of a drum shade you could choose a tapered shade with a narrow opening at the top. There are some lamps that are completely closed at the top, usually with metal or glass shades (probably because an enclosed shade could get too hot with a high wattage bulb for other materials). There are lots of Tiffany-style table lamps with dome or closed tapered shades, if that suits your style. Another option would be to get a tall lamp with a tall shade. Something with this kind of proportions: Another option would be to use a swag lamp rather than a table lamp. It gives you a bit more flexibility in placement, and might open up new opportunities.

I love your coffee table. Just looked over at my current setup, and my coffee table is indeed higher than the sofa/couch. The same is true in my current build. Basically, the main issue is: can people easily reach their beverages or finger food edibles? There really hasn't been a problem. The two end tables are even taller. The three tables came as a set inherited from my grandparents, so there's definitely a precedent here. PS I love your table! (Oh, I said that already...!)
