Have you tried IRG in Brisbane? If you are going to go PM and I will give you my 'person's' info. I also toured a house in SF that had Vetrazzo and it looked nice. It was too 'chunky' for us, but was pretty.

This seems to have turned into a radiant floor heat discussion. I have no experience with floor heat in the USA, but we worked/lived in Asia for a few years and had electric floor heat as our only source of heat in the house (I don't know the intricacies of its mechanisms of operation). It was set up to only work at night. We could not make it turn on in the day, but the house had huge whole wall windows on two sides to take in the sun. It had a learning curve because you had to anticipate how cold the next day would be so you could get it warm enough over the night, but we grew to really like it. We didn't turn it on in the bathrooms because it would make the tile hot enough to burn your feet (even at the lowest setting). You would have to keep towels on the floor if you wanted to use it. The rest of the house had wood floor and it would not hurt your feet no matter how hot we set it. We spent the least on energy of anyone we knew there during our stay, but we are also frugal.

Been to Fox Marble to look at Neolith. Bring closed toe walking shoes to be safe. Good variety of colors and finishes and thicknesses there. Try not to go on a bright sunny day as that washes out your photos to look at afterwards. Oh and if you use Maps to get there, keep driving it is a bit further down the street then it says. All Natural does carry most of those including Neolith. You just can't get to their slabs as easily. If you do go here, try during the week or allow time for an appt. cuz they are busy on Sat.

@mtnrdredux -- glad to be of help. Alamo Square, of course, is where the Painted Ladies are. The park is currently closed for overdue renovations but it is due to reopen by next spring, I believe. It is adjacent to Hayes Valley but is about 3 to 4 sloped blocks or so to the main retail/shopping area on Hayes near Octavia. Some great little shops, bakeries, cafes and restaurants there. It's not the shopping of Union Square, but that is an Uber XL away. However, it's also closer to the Lower Haight and the Divisidero corridor, which still has some grittier parts to it (it has some great places like a branch of Bi-Rite Market and the infamous vintage cookware store Cookin'). You might want to make sure you are the Hayes Valley side of the square and head in that direction in your wanders at night. The Hayes Valley district includes hot restaurants like Rich Table and Petit Crenn, the new restaurant from the current Best Female Chef in the World, plus a branch of Miette Bakery and many other interesting places. The Mission, Japantown, Pacific Heights etc are also close ride away, and there are some fantastic views from nearby Corona Heights park (often overlooked by tourists --- we take our dog there from time to time --- Twin Peaks is the more popular vantage point and is a bit further away).
