need home office furniture suggestion please

Have been looking for home office furniture. need desk and hutch or credenza and hutch want something of decent quality so it will last and it will be visible from my living room have looked at hooker(stillmade in us??)kathy ireland martin collection(made in us??) prefer cherry/mahogony solid wood or solid with veneers but can't seem to find anything quality in the 2000-2500 price range any suggestion/sites/etc would help i am located in northern maryland have tried used/craiglslist but have not come across good quality/attractive desks

The Custom Shoppe is my selection. You can customize the dimensions, Choose the species of wood (they have cherry but no Mahagony) and have a number of different finishes. Pricepoint may be around $3000 though.

Hooker just announced the closing of their last domestic production plant so the chances of you getting Hooker USA made is unlikely.

Your $2500 pricepoint is primed for an import product. However If your lookin for USA made your going to pay a little bit more. However you will get what you want and the finish you want it in and the size you want it at.

Also Look at Sligh furniture. They have Imported Home office of pretty good quality.

We purchased the kathy ireland martin collection from Costco. It is within your budget. But it is not made in the US. The drawers are dovetailed.It looks decent, but I found the surface scratched too easily.

I picked up some BM chips yesterday and played around with the blue greens. I've decided to stick with the olive shades. I am considering the following 4 colors. They're all on the dark side, but I am game for a new look in the room. SW Edamame SW Sheraton Sage SW Olive Grove BM Eucalyptus Leaf I'll post a pic once the room is painted - sometime in February. So without any dimensions just going off what I can see in the photo here is a conceptual layout. I'm visualizing SW Passive as the dominant color with Seawashed Glass as the accent. I hope this helps!

I totally get what you are saying, and it is a concern. With the recliner love seat I would have that facing the front wall of the house. It would actually go where the architect's drawing of the couch is. TV would be directly opposite, on the wall / front of the house. Thank you for the input!

I like the arrangement with the desk under the window, facing into the room. That leaves room for a long console with enclosed cabinets and shelves on the wall under the tv for your printer and other storage. You can go as long as you want on the console. You have enough room to move your rug all the way under the chairs so the console can sit on the floor.

thanks so much for the custom shop info.! have a dealer nearby, found perfect desk/hutch in maple AND the price is 3000, only 500 more for a usa/solid wood piece of furniture that should last until....

We are contemplating purchasing the Kathy Ireland Martin collection desk with hutch from Costco. It is a great price. Any feedback from anyone that has purchased it? What is the top of the deak made of that it scratches so easily?
Any other suggestions for a computer credenza?
