Ah, milkmen....now there's a tradition lost on most of America. I really need a milkman. My son drinks nothing but milk and is capable of going through a gallon a day if left unchecked. Unfortunately, city code says I can't have my own cow in the backyard. On a side note, we watched "Up" last night with the kids, and it's priceless for the dog humor alone. I think our pup may be mellowing in her old age. This past week we left her unattended inside the house because of bad storms rolling through, and I'm happy to report that all curtains, carpet, pillows, and garbage cans were intact and undisturbed. When we first moved to our house 2 years ago, we had problems with puppy digging holes in the yard. She would take her morning cookie (milk bone biscuit) outside, and promptly bury it. We curbed the bad habit by only allowing cookies after she came back inside at night. Disturbingly, the dig holes didn't stop. We couldn't figure out what was causing her to continue to dig. One day when I was on vacation & working outside, I paused to chat to the passing mail carrier, whom Midnight loved to terrorize with her "go away" bark. I told the mail carrier our puppy's name and explained that she's truly harmless. The mail carrier said, "No worries---she's my best friend now that I toss her a Milk Bone every day!"

sdello -- No, on the 1995 XJR the KBB of $9K - 10K is private sale value. Trade-in value is $7 - 8K. Retail, $13K. So, I see the dealer making $5K on my trade-in, and think the price on the X-Type should be lower. Even if he had to put something into the XJR to ready it for market, it should profit him well. The salesman said he thought they would market the car rather than auction it. Steve_o -- Well, that's my problem. I don't know what depreciation to figure on the 2005 X-Type VDP with 2700 miles. In three months, when the 2006's come out, the car becomes "last year's model". Seems to me a car drops 20% to 25% when you drive it out off the dealer's lot. In that case, even a new 2005 (MSRP of $37,280) would be $29,825, or even $27,960. FWIW, State Farm loan department tells me June retail value is $31K. I'm thinking of proposing $30K less $8K for our trade-in = $22K cash (plus tax, license fees, etc.) Maybe that is too much? The dealer bought two of these cars in May at a Jaguar auction in St. Louis. Now, if we could just peek at what he paid... Thanks for helping me with my "car wars".

I don't get why people get so worked up over it. Sheesh. Aren't there a lot better things to stress you out? Disclaimer: I have mostly atomic clocks so very little resetting around here. I don't have a structured life, having to report somewhere at a certain time. I sleep when I want and do things when I want. The only, albeit slight impact on me is store hours but an hour give or take is petty in my life. And I'll say that when I was working semi-normal to normal hours I really enjoyed having the sun in the afternoon. When I'd work nights, it was nice to have the sun up "earlier". Seems to me the ones who go craziest over it are the ones impacted the least! My dad used to get so worked up over DST. He'd be screaming "YOU CAN CHANGE THE CLOCK BUT YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE SUN!" Uh yeah, don't you get it? You CAN'T change the sun, so you change the clock. In today's popular vernacular, "DUH!" And ironically, he seemed to always enjoy having daylight when he'd be driving home from work. My estimate is 90% of people who grouse about DST are hobbyists. They make a hobby out of complaining! Nothing FORCES you to change your clocks. Go by your own time. I'm on CST (Cynic Saving Time) year round. I don't get worked up over it. Saves me stress and provides entertainment watching people making mountains from the proverbial molehills.

I'm trying to narrow done a good white, round form that will can be an EMO on cool mornings. I have Winter Treasure which is great but looking for another or I may try to find another perennial that will give me the same effect.
