Don't you hate it when...
Comments (16)Arthur- Those "useless layabouts" always know the best place for a nap in the sun! But c'mon, none of us have mice, right? So they must be doing something, besides being cute and cuddley. Actually mine (1 of 2, the 2nd being a truely useless layabout) likes to bring the presents home alive. He seems to really not want to hurt them. And getting them in the house is pretty easy since we leave the back slider open if we're home. Not usually mice though, generally birds and chipmunks. The snake phase was years ago... Carolyn...See MoreDon't you hate it when....
Comments (8)Well, number one: It was planted last fall....not sure where you get that it wasn't. And as for number 2, yeah that's what happened. A whole head of garlic must have been left behind...purely accidental. Didn't even notice it was missing! I was however able to dig up the whole sprouted head and separate every single one and they are growing strong now 2 weeks later, so that's a huge plus. Anyhoo, I just thought it was funny, and thought I would share :)...See MoreDon't you hate it when you forget people...
Comments (3)My sister and I were trying to remember the name of a girl we went to HS with.....I can usually remember by the next day but this has been over a week and she still can't remember it either! I am normally good with names and people...... Patti-Could it be Donna, Margie, Susan, Sherry, Paula, Pamela, or Patti? LOL-Just trying to help:)...See MoreDon't you hate when Halloween shows up early?
Comments (33)Ditto Sable and Pesky. I don't like to use pesticides. We do have termite treatment every 10 years and whatever they use at the perimeter of the house must deter insects because we rarely get them in the house. We are seeing some red ants right now I think because of the heat and dry conditions, then just this past week we have had a good bit of rain. I don't like pesticides in the house because of the pup - and us too. Bumble - that is how I grew up. My parents and grandparents shared acerage and there are only about 5 other homes in their area. We are still rural here but less acreage (about 1.5). Where we are located we do still have the occasional deer, fox, etc. and plenty of rabbits, squirrels and birds. Re the hummingbirds, we are not seeing them as much this year. I wonder if it is due to our weird weather. They started coming around early but now I am hardly seeing them. Okay - in for a break, back outside! tina...See Moreshesalittlebear
