This has the 149cc Kohler engine that is manufactured in China. Even thou you serviced the mower with fresh gasoline, there is probably some residual fuel in the carburetor. Chances are the carburetor will need to be removed to clean out the residual fuel. Ask the dealer if a warranty applies since the mower is less than one year old. If you want to try a quick fix, drain the old fuel by removing the drain plug on the carburetor float bowl. See what happens.

it could be that given the winter that we had (very mild, many freeze-thaw cycles) your new irises got botrytis, which is a form of mould. I try and cover my irises every fall because we have so many warm spells in the winter that my plants have a tendency to get this rot. definitely cover them. also, i know people tell you to plant only in full sun, but i have irises in full shade on the North side of the house that bloom and increase better than the others in full sun every year. It's incredibly annoying.

It really sounds like your logic board is biting the dust. Problem is it is almost as much as a new unit and would be silly to spend that much on a 15 year old opener. Seems like now is the time.

Hi Geoffa, don't be too hasty about throwing away the seed pot after germination. I planted seed in individual containers, was a bit disappointed in the number which germinated, then found 2 months later others germinating. This was admittedly during late autumn and the new germination took place at the end of winter.
