Thanks for your thought lukki! You are right, white would be a very practical choice. I hope we will move in the next couple years, so from that perspective a practical, safe choice is probably the way to go. And if the doors stay white I am fine to paint the trim (it's minimal, not fancy) as well. Maybe a fresh, brighter white will look better than the current "white", which seems quite dingy.

We need to choose wall and trim colors for our upper-floor master bedroom and our main floor living room, dining room, and hallway. I’m partial to soft whites with a faint peachy undertone that veers more toward a bit of pink, but not yellow. The current master bedroom color (see photos) looks beautifully peachy at some times of the day, but too pink at other times. We think we like Benjamin Moore Apricot Ice for the master bedroom (the sample on the right in the attached photos). We’re leaning toward Sugar Cookie (on the left in the photos) for the living and dining rooms, and maybe the hallway. Because we’ll be hanging art in the rooms on the main floor, it’s important that they be more neutral. We have cherry and oak furniture. As shown in the photos, the master bedroom has an oak floor. What do you think? What wall color(s) would you recommend? And what trim color would you recommend? We’d like to use the same trim color throughout the house (except for our white kitchen and bath, where trim will be painted to match the cabinet trim). We’d like it to softly complement rather than contrast with the wall color. Would Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace or maybe Mayonnaise be suitable for the trim? As far as lighting goes, the master bedroom has north and west exposure. We keep the cellular blinds, which allow in some light, closed most of the time. Like the adjoining newly-remodeled master bathroom, it has 3K Kelvin lighting (dimmable, recessed). The photos were taken this evening with those lights on, with and without flash. The living room, dining room, and hallway have south, west, and north exposure, and traditional incandescent lighting. The hallway and dining room adjoin the newly-remodeled white kitchen, which has 3K Kelvin lighting (dimmable, recessed). I’ve already noticed quite a contrast between the warm hallway light and our 3K Kelvin kitchen light. Once our dimmers are installed (not in yet because we’re still deciding on our backsplash) we hope it will be less stark. Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I think the wheat/beige will look better with the colors you have and will keep the hallway from feeling too dark.

Great colors choices. There were two colors I could not find on the BM website - Willington Tan and Quite Rain. Balboa Mist is a very popular color on Houzz. It is a good neutral that should look good with most any color you pick for the other rooms. But Thunder is my favorite. I would not pick Quite Moments. It is a lovely color, but I can see it in a bedroom or bathroom. It has a blue undertone to me. Same with Vapor Trails. It read green to me. Revere Pewter is a very good neutral. I used it as a trim color instead of white in my master with a dark wall color. When I changed the wall color to I light blue it still looked good. I've also paired it with yellow. So I 's say it works well with other colors. Nice. Like Thunder a lot. I think Sag Harbor is too dark. Collingwood is OK, but the others don't wow me.
