Good Morning Ladies!!

CL try to just let yourself get a bit hungrier each time, just not to the straved point. In WW I think they say we should never feel hungry, not sure how to work that if you have very few points left in a day, maybe that is when you need to eat more of the veggie soup~~which I am hoping to make this week:)

I really am not one to be giving suggestions this week:( I finished helping my DD move yesterday, it turned out to be more stuff than we thought. I backed my van up as close to her stairs as possible, which left no room for others to go in or out of the garage area~~~then her and I ran like the wind up and down three flights of stairs getting this stuff moved:) WHEW!!! If I had not lost my weight and gone to CURVES I would not have been able to do it:) That's the good part the bad part is I ate fozen yogurt and 3 peices of pizza later in the day:( Justifiy it by saying look at the work out I got today:( I am bad:(

Today is the last day of my 3 day weekend~~I am doing nothing but grocery shopping today I am so tired from the moving~~~moving is for young folks.

Well, I'm not deserving of offering any suggestions either. Remember that 1.5 pounds that I lost? Well, guess what! It found me again.....better luck this week...

YIKES!!!! I have not posted since Monday???? Where are you all???

I do not care for Monday holidays it really puts me off~~I like holidays to be on Fridays:) HMMMM I think that I was more tired from moving my DD than I thought:( Tuesday I went to work then CURVES and made dinner for my two (adult) children, enough to last them through Weds since I had a dinner meeting to go to. I do not even remember getting on the computer. Weds was work, CURVES then my dinner meeting~~~I belong to a food service organization that mets once a month, they provide the food, but I am struggling so hard to lose this last pound~~I went by Wendy's got a spinich chicken salad and an iced tea:) YEAH!!! I was so proud of myself and ya know what alot of gals were jealous:)

Today was our regular monthly meeting in the morning, work, then CURVES. I just ate a salad I am so pooped I am in my PJ's. My weigh in is going to be in the morning instead of night tomorrow since we are going for appys and drinks after work for a good bye party for my asst:(

WHEW!!! So what have you all been up too?????

I'm still stalled and can't seem to lose. I keep creeping up. So last week I started back excercising. Doing the treadmill since the weather is the pits. I'm happy with my commitment, and it's not a 'chore' at this point. Sporadic journaling last week but not where it should be. Baby steps! Starting back regular exercise is enough. So this week I started journaling again. Now that is tough to do regularly but I know it will help me understand why I'm stalled out. As I have said before, I can't really rely on those 35 flex per week. To lose, I can only eat extra points that I earn thru activity. Otherwise I maintain or gain. I think it's metabolism and hormones. Those 35 extra a week can make me lazy and I'll say - oh this bag of chips is ok since it's part of my 35 per week. But that sloppiness on writing it down can lead me down a path of no loss. :-) As I walked on the treadmill this morning I thought to myself that journaling for me is something I have to make a part of my daily lifestyle. I'm sure if I kept the journaling up when I lost last time I would not have gained it back. It really keeps us honest with ourselves. So this week's KEY!!! Journaling (and keeping up the treadmill). As I add things in one at a time, I don't want to leave another key habit behind. Oh and H2O is going really well this week! Hope you guys can also choose a Key to try and stick with for the week!

I have never tracked my points on a daily basis on CORE. I probably should -- my weight loss has really slowed down in the last 6 weeks. But I did lose 2.4 lbs this week. My typical daily menu -- Breakfast steel cut oatmeal w/ 2 Tbsp. raisins and 1/2 c milk Snack Apple or banana Lunch 2 eggs scrambled with mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, spinach and FF cheddar cheese Fresh fruit or Large toss salad with turkey or smoked salmon -- lots of veggies --- FF dressing with blue cheese tossed over it Afternoon snack - more fruit or carrots --sometimes, I eat one serving of FF/SF pudding here to get past the chocolate cravings. Supper WW pasta with variety of sauces -- maybe with beef, shrimp or chicken or Grilled meat with roasted potatoes and salad and veggie or Soup with salad or a sandwich on 1 pt bread (always fill the sandwich with lots of goodies --spinach, roasted red-pepper strips, cukes, FF cheese) Snack Popcorn or WW ice cream treat I use most of my 35 extra pts on dried fruit,cheese,nuts (love almonds!) wine and the occasional slice of bread or English muffin. We try lots of the WW recipes -- just got the new Comfort food cookbook. Looks good to this midwest farm girl! Not a lot of pure CORE recipes but some can be used with simple changes -- like whole wheat pasta or FF cheese. and some things -- I'll just count into my pts. I don't have the patience to count points and since I am a bit of a health food nut (we can all our own veggies and fruits --over 500 jars a year) and buy all of our meat from local organic farmers........... CORE works well for me. But you have to "shake it up" -- If you eat grilled chicken everyday for supper and a salad everday for lunch -- you will get bored quick. Cathy

I have done that. I had a friends bring homemade hot out of oven brownies and how do you say no...really! :-) So I had two so the weight would be evenly distributed on my thighs! When I have run myself short on points I have the soup and a salad. I try not to use the activity list just so I wouldn't be tempted to go run around the block to have another brownie. My MIL is horrible! That's just kind of enough said in that brief little sentence! :-) When she found out that I had joined WW she brought homemade chocolate cookies to the house one night. I kindly explained that I was on WW and that I wasn't keeping goodies in the house like that. So the next day I wrapped them up and sent them with David to work to share with his crew. A couple of days later here come brownies I did the exact same thing. A few days after that a homemade cheesecake. I sent it home with another friend of mine right in front of her. Last Saturday night here she comes with a homemade German chocolate cake. I was so frustrated because I was struggling anyway and just tired of her being so insensitive. I threw the whole thing in the garbage right in front of her. I lost it! Needless to say she isn't speaking to me which is just fine with me. The only time the woman cooks is when I am trying to diet and she turns into Betty Crocker. Sorry for the rant...I am craving chocolate and it's been a rough day! :-)

Good afternoon! It's 91 F. and sunny here in SE Texas. Where did our "Spring" go??? Everybody has been so busy this week! I'm impressed with those of you who have stayed on your eating plan, worked out regularly, and are feeling positive about things. That's the kind of incentive and motivation I like! I attended our community center's Mother's Day luncheon today. We had a style show first, clothes from Palais Royal, then a lovely high tea/luncheon. Very much "lady foods", but it was all scrumptious! Today I sat with a table of people I've met briefly during this past year, so I had a chance to get to know them much better today. I was the "baby" at the table at 61, and the oldest one was 93. Most of the other 6 women were in their high 70's and 80's. These women are very active in the community and never seem to slow down. They are such an inspiration to me. Tonight I'm going to spend the evening with our friend Susanne helping her get things ready for our ESA state convention next week. I had promised her when Larry was so sick that I would go with her to this if he wasn't up to it, and I will. I'll be staying at night with my son and DDIL while in Dallas, and that will be the only time I'll get to see them while there, but it's better than nothing! Dee, I hope they don't dump too much extra work onto you. Time for another cruise, isn't it? LOL I'm going to see my granddaughters and son and DDIL tomorrow after cohosting a youth banjo concert at our church. Pray for me in the morning because I have to bake 5 dozen chocolate chip cookies!!!!! The doorbell just rang, and it was FedEx with a gift from oldest Dson and DDIL - 3 living, blooming African violets and a wooden collector's box. My DDIL really knows me well and Dson always trusts her taste. If I don't get a chance to post tomorrow or Sunday, I wish everyone here a Happy Mother's Day, whether you're a bio-mom, stepmom, or furbaby mom!

YAHOO!!!! I made my GOAL yesterday!!! Did ya know on maintence you get 4 extra points a day:) Now I have to hold it there for 6 long weeks~~~if when I go in this Friday I have gained, they take away 2 points:( She says now they try and help me see how many points a day I can handle.

Now for me the real work begins~~~maintaining!! I am at the point I have to buy new pants, my tops are fine since I like them a bit bigger. But, I did try on some 'right' sized pants yesterday and they do look way better, alot better in fact. I just do not want to buy alot~~~see I am afraid I will not be able to keep this off. That is negative and I need to stop that!! But, how????

Congratulations Lunchlady - that is TERRIFIC! YEA for you! Congratulations on your right sized pants! I think you do need at least one new top so you have a whole new outfit. You can do it - those of us who are still working on getting to goal are counting on you to be our role model! How's that for no pressure? :)

I'm cleaning out my extra room (which is really a huge storage closet) today so that I'm keeping busy and away from the kitchen this weekend. I think it's downright sinful how much "stuff" we all collect that we don't really need.

Unfortunately I moved a big box and found an area of mold underneath (that darling cat is no longer with us). So now I can add ripping the carpet out to my list of things to do. But I'll wait for my son to come home from his dad's so he can tackle that. He likes to do things that require brute strength, fortunately.

I'm happy to report I finally got in some exercise last evening with a friend and this morning solo (walking). I so enjoyed it and hope I will have the good sense to make it a habit.

CL I do think that housework is at times more work than exercise. Yesterday I started cleaning out my closet~~~I am getting rid of all of my work pants they look bad on me and they are about 8 or more years old, so I feel OK getting rid of them:)I will buy new ones when it starts getting cold again, that is if it ever does:)So that leaves me with several pairs of pants that now fit just right, a few maybe a bit baggy but I like them like that. I am so excited now I can wear most of my cute shirts:)

I was telling my DH that our WW's leader says it is better to get rid of your old clothes that do not fit, keeping them is like giving yourself permission to gain weight?? He does not believe that do you??? I do. So out they go~~~they are old anyway so I do not care!!!!!
