Comments (5)hello pe basic was made for the one task of sending an image that has been converted to an embroidery file pes to be exact onto a rewritable card that then fits into you machine. you will not be able to send a jpg or anything else like that as it has not been digitized. There is a lot more to it than just converting a picture. I have been doing this for years now and have loads of software to do the job and none of them is a straight forward open and save job, They say they can but the finished result is less than good, The only one at the moment which is showing some promise is the very cool corel drawings x3. I have this and it is making things a little easier, but you do need to know how to use corel draw for it to work, I have made a little web site which shows me converting a very simple pattern in pe design. have a look if you want Here is a link that might be useful: pe design tutorial...See Morebabylock ellure- do i need ped basic and ultimate box?
Comments (0)Hi, I'm new to forum and thanks to searching through forums to get an idea of where to start, I have made my 1st purch of a combo sew/embroidery machine- a gently used Ellure few years old (pre USB). Have never done embroidery but want to start. Pick it up this weekend. The prior owner is nice to include a CD of lots of designs she already had. Now my machine didnt come w/Brother PED Basic Box, but she suggests I purchase it at Walmart. Having read thru forums, it sounds like lots of folks love their Ultimate box and Embird to get new designs and use them on their machines. As a newbie, I am a bit confused- if I bought the Ultimate box, do I also need to have the PED Basic box anyway? Or can I just buy Ultimate box and forgoe her suggestion of PED Basic? And whose 'cards' do I buy? Thx in advance for your advice. K...See MoreQuestion on PED Basic
Comments (1)Interesting. There isn't a drop down box or browse button to send to E drive? Maybe you can try this... right click on your desktop saved image and see if there is a "send to" there with E drive option. OR you can try... start/my computer/open E drive and drag and drop desktop image into E drive. OR I do not have any embroidery software, but I imagine it has to be the same as copying pictures, video,or music to disk. For example I use Nero 7 for saving my photos to disk. I open Nero up and open my photos and drag and drop them into the program then click on burn/copy. ~** Make sure you have a blank disk in E drive before you try these. Good luck hope it works....See Morestitchem
