Ga Bulldog design
Comments (5)Hi, I'm looking for the Ga Bulldog "G", and the link above doesn't seem to have the design any longer that I can find. Can anyone help please? I just need one "G" to embroider a fleece throw for my daughter for Christmas. Thanks so much for any help you can lend....See MoreSingerXl6000 and PES2Card3
Comments (1)Red I looked this up and you don't need a box as long as you have a floppy, memory card, stick, or cd. Depending upon your computer, you might already have the slots for those items. I know you have another embroidery machine you saved designs to use so there could be a xxx or psw format in there when you unzip the file. From the instructions for the XL6000, as long as you have the design to use on your desktop, you can open the design in the software and transmit to the 6000 to sew out. I have a Singer CE200 that sews out any format you throw at it. It is also computer dependent via a USB port (I can use any type of UBS cable I have, not just the one from Singer). Since you already have a card you save pictures on, you can use that also. Here is a link that might be useful: Sew Ware instructions...See MoreSinger Quantum XL-6000 Threads
Comments (2)I just got a 6000 for Christmas. I was so happy to find your post. I couldn't quite spring for the $850 digitizing software from Singer. I don't know how the PE Design-6 software can be so much cheaper, but I am willing to play with it to see what it can do. Thank you for the tip! I'll be happy to learn more. My machine instruction manual says to use 40 wt. rayon thread, but the lady at a local sewing store says that poly is OK. Have you discovered any sigficant difference? Thank you....See Moresinger XL6000
Comments (2)I have had the XL 6000 for six years and have found it wonderful. Not only does it have the double thread automatic threader but it is much quicker than most other models. You can connect directly with the computer to download any of your patterns. I use HUS but it will take other designs. It is very easy to use and has color display. You can store some designs right on the machine and it has built in design also. The other option is the new Futura 400 XL. I have been thinking of purchasing it as it is less $$$ than the 6000. It is a really nice machine and I could use it at our winter resident. It depends on how much embroidery you want to do. It you are going to make a sell quilts etc then the 6000 is good. I also think the new 400 XL is very adequate and chaper. I do know that you can find the XL 6000 online through eBay (if that is allowed to say here I hope) however the 400 XL will still be cheaper. It is not as fast as the 6000 but good. It also has a nice stitch and a larger frame than the 6000. If there is anything I can help you with please don't hesitate to email me....See Morelasmt
