Anyone use glazing tape when replacing window in exterior door?
Comments (1)Usually used on the inside....See MoreAnyone use glazing tape when replacing a window in a door?
Comments (0)The wood back door in "This Old House" was a nightmare of paint and dings so I took it down, stripped it, removed glass and little wooden pieces of trim. The glass was held in with glazing tape on one side and caulk on the other. The order was wood strip (1/2" X 3/8"), glazing tape, glass, caulk, and another wood strip. Unfortunately, I can't remember whether the glazing tape was on the outside of the door or the inside! Anyone know? Also, what about putting glazing tape on both sides of the glass? Hope there are several that have done this! Thanks, edwena...See Morealuminum window flashing, capping, trimming and caulking

Comments (7)That is what they are doing around the niche. We expected them to use a kerdi niche so it is uniform with the rest of the system but they used fortiflash. After talking with them, they said use this method all the time but will remove the fortiflash and add backing and kerdi membrane to the niche....See Moretrimcarpenter
