infestation of little black bugs

About a month ago I noticed a few tiny (about the size of a whole pepper grain...the kind you use in a pepper mill). They have a hard shell. They are primarily in the window sills but seem to gravitate to the kitchen sink. Sometimes (twice, I think) I have seen them flying, but usually they are dead. We have no idea where they are coming from. They just appear. Probably the window but don't see them come in. Any ideas? Thanks

I have been dealing with the same symptoms since 2010. I have concluded that I had lice scabies mange bird lice so on and so forth…. I wonder if it has something to do w mold. I thought it was morgellons and now I believe the cdc has actually acknowledged morgellons …

the plants gone jean ... in my world.. either leave the spot blank for a year .. or throw in some annuals ... and be done with it ... chemicals are literally.. overkill ... once the host plant is gone.. again.. in my world.. warped as it may be .... there is a 99.999999% chance.. that the plague went with it ... there is little chance.. that another HEALTHY plant will suffer from the same problems ... but if it does.. that is when you use reactive chemicals ... IMHO .. since you can not ID the problems... with any certainty .. at this time.. any chemical use would be pollution ... bottom line.. you already fixed the problem... so dont fix it again ... ken ps: if you just have to do something... dig out the soil .... wheelbarrow it to another corner of the yard.. and bring some fresh soil back and refill ... new.. fresh soil.. and no chems ...

We may have the same problem. Does it look anything like this? I just took this picture. See the little brown dotty spots they leave? These things are on my rosemary, basil, sage and one of my pepper plants and I have no idea what they are.

Insecticidal soap or oil will kill aphids. If there are a lot of immature aphids feeding, the water spray needs to be pretty strong. Spraying soap or oil is more gentle.

Whomever is speaking to CDC may want to pass on this.Under scope it seems like the creature has short hairlike growths with the thready curly thready looking pieces, only in one or two places. My apologies on the pic I dont have a camera hooked up this was a cellphone over eyepiece.Other specimen looked like small hairballs like previous posters.Seems like black threadlike appendages may be camouflage of sorts.

yeah im probably wrong and its just another random insect that got slapped too hard and is missing bits.I am so done with dealing with these horrible things.Need camera hooked to scope to have any really decent shots of the hellions.Oh and I put lavender under my bed yesterday, can confirm lavender makes it worse.

Seeing as we have zombie ants and zombie weevils due to fungal parasites, isnt it likely that the thready things are just fungus that is consuming its host?Could explain why some of us with fungal allergies get hit so hard.Left my place sick , by day three feeling better by day 7 miraculous cure . Returned and by end of week sick as a dog again. This is real I am moving away from here soon as possible.

Has anyone tried sprinkling ground cinnamon on infested areas to see if it causes a decrease in numbers? I recommended this several years ago up-thread.

Also, neat white vinegar and diluted bleach to destroy the molds that some of these bugs seem to feed on.

I identified Chaetomiun as the fungus problem . Fungal gnats are attracted to it too. Its a black mould and causes allergic reactions even promotes cancers. My black dust is identical to pictures of this. Its grows on decaying matter. Fungas attracts organisms that feed on it too.

hydrogen peroxide and borax. and heat will work and it will quell any itching. first. mix borax and peroxide into a consistency of a body scrub., scrub the entire body then take equal parts grapeseed oil and diatomaceous earth food grade mix and rub body with mix for 20 minutes then get into a hot bath (hot as you can stand it) with 2 cups borax and 1 cup hydrogen peroxide in it and soak submerged for as long as can, do the bath everyday till it clears, then drip dry. wash all clothes after every use, wash everything with borax, dry clothes for 70 minutes at the highest setting, vacuum everything. dont forget your bed, bedding and drapes and everything youve touched. Hydrogen Peroxide and Borax are your best friends. you can clean your house with peroxide also.

I commend all for their bravery…. I’ve been told it’s all in my head. I’m immuno compromised as well. I have a diagnosis of bipolar with delusions and hallucinations. Yes I have mood disorder, but my mind can’t manifest what I see and am experiencing… more like suffering. For those who have gotten help, who do I turn to? I believe this started about feb, march… with no relief in sight… even with my doctors! They say the humira and the vraylar will take care of it. NOPE. … please help. I have increasing headaches and pressure. I see the effects it has caused on the inside… anyone else? Sputum, menses, mucus, feces? Two things are tell tale to me.. a single longer claw and upside down triangle shape head? The lint, hair, fungus thing creates a shape from leaves, fibers, paper, skin,,,I have psoriasis as well. Help!!!!! Plz!!! When I brush my teeth, these tiny things come from my cheeks, near the gum/ joint area. Is anyone else having these symptoms. Black specs and the small stinging hair… it changes shape once it’s inside you. God. May it not be too late. I feel it will be by the time I get to the right doctors with the know how 😢😰

I have the same problem with a history of anxiety/depression. I do take medication and I am followed by one of the best psychiatrist around in my opinion. So, yes my family doctor and the dermatologist that she referred me to both diagnosed me with "Delusional Parasitic" that they have put in my medical file. Therefore, if I go to ER, no doctor will listen. Thank God for the ear, nose and throat specialist that doesn't beleive I am insane. Anywho, after reading this blog, I put my personal knowledge and self medicated experience together accompanied by new info in this blog for self healing. I am sharing hoping it might prevent having an other victim of our lazy arse doctors that gives psychopathic diagnosis to get ride of a problem they don't understand.

I am taking a natural parasite cleanser that can be found at any drug store or natural supplement store. It is called "Paragone" from the company Renew Life, soaking in a very hot bath with half a cup of Vinigar, a quarter cup liquid hand sanitizer with aloe vera, 10 drops of energize essential oil blend and a quarter cup of laundry detergent for 30 minutes as I rub the sores in a circular motion applying pressure when I rub. I then proceed to take a regular hot shower washing my whole body with Tee Tree shampoo and leaving the lather for 5 to 10 minutes before rinsing. I then put conditioner in my hair, rinse my hair then rinse my whole body with cold water. I dry with a towel wich I scrub dry shaking off the towel after ever section to remove any particals that might have came off my skin and stuck to the towel.

    Hope this helps!

I have exactly the same thing and same photos! Be two years this January! I just cant shake them! Dermatologist and doctors say I'm delusional. One doctor did a biopsy of my scalp and said that it is some kind of fungal parasite and left it at that! I Google and image search everyday! What the hell is it? I had a tick bite, thought lyme disease. My place is totally infested! I cant afford to move. The black spot size of a full stop have come outta the aircon vents just before the 1st lock down. Covid critter? I've tried everything. I've shaved my head twice almost bald! As soon as my hair grew 1mm long, they're back! My skin is ruined! If I find the answer I will post asap. Grateful I am not alone and doesn't seem to be contagious.

They are also eating my gum away! I'm so frightened! I get headaches and feel nauseous, my left foot has swelled up like a balloon twice! My knee ache at times and lock so I cant walk. It's under the skin hey? I think they can fly too. Tiny and fly outta my hair sometimes. My confidence ain't great as I'm paranoid I'll pass it on to a friend or workplace but thankfully and sadly they only like me...

So sorry to see what youve been through. I’m a nurse & certainly not an entomologist or expert. have you seen a dermatologist? had a skin scraping or blood tests? However its not unusual for tests not to show parasites. many insects can turn and infect people and the DNA may not be entered for comparison in their system/database.. . physicians seem to have little training in parasitology. your pictures are not very clear so its difficult to determine irigin. you can go online and find world experts that offer an exam. costs usually about 200$. I finally determined my infestation is from moths. knowing what it is can be a big relief. look for apps that identify insects from images like ”Picture Insect’”. physicians may be more accepting if you have more info -but if unable to identify try the parasitologists online if you can afford it. its well worth the price!

Actually, Yes. I forgot about that. I did see a dermatologist in 2004?. He scraped my neck and sent it to the lab and it came back I forget it was a long time ago. But I think it was something about like a general. I don't know it was a dermatologist though. And I had ringworm on my head and I didn't realize where I got it from her how that's why I went to see him in the first place but that's going I don't even know where that went? N THESE THINGS BITE me. I just got finished with my 2nd, very strong antibiotics. From FANG, bites on the back of my knee, that were infected?? They don't know or even try to figure out, what it was that but me!? But, I have thousands of scary ass pic's of whatever this is. It's ALSO, very sticky. The ones on my scalp? I put toliet paper on this, spot on my head that hurt.. the toilet paper, was stuck to my hand. I had to WASH MY HAND OFF! ? I DON'T KNOW,what this is? But, I'm definitely scared and definitely my children, I've had. Do you want to see some of the pics? Thank you for trying at least.. Ohh, 1 other thing. This is so so gross. But, I've gained 30lbs, not pregnant. Also, my butt was itchy and and I felt something like come out or go into it. It was the grossest feeling in the world.

I’ve resorted to putting salt on my scalp to stop the itching. I don’t recommend it but as you know we get desperate. Try the online parasitologists and hopefully they’ll help. Also if you have a photo of the bug or have samples consult with an entomologist. Can’t rely on most MDs for help unfortunately. It sure causes a lot of suffering. Doesn’t it seem like we start a plan then have to start all over with another? So many obstacles but at least we have each other to help and listen/read. 🙏🏻

Send samples to an entomologist at a university extension outreach program, or at the universities insect & nematology museum.. Just so you know, a very common bug that doesn't bite, but causes itching, is called carpet beetle. They are very small, and when they're in their larval form, they have tiny uricating hairs all over their body. This hair serves two functions that drive people crazy: 1. It's got a velcro like effect, causing them to stick to anything, even a fingertip!2. The larvae shed these hairs everywhere A) the hairs resemble micro size black or tan dashes (based on sub species) B) without a macro lens or digital microscope these hairs can be mistaken as a bug too small to see details of C) the hairs (in fact the whole larvae sometimes) adhere to fabrics easily, like the inside of a sleeve, sock or pant leg D) the hairs create VERY prickly feeling itch, So just imagine acupuncture needles (metal, about the diameter of a hair), cut into micro dash sizes, stuck to fabric that's rubbing on your skin. Lsub species of carpet beetle it is. These hairs cause severe itching in people, allergic reactions in some people, like hives, and bumpy broken skin that looks bitten, but isn't! It's all from those dumb hairs! When they grow up, they turn into flying carpet beetles, they're tiny, they resemble mini lady bugs, but most are tan speckled, there is also a dark brown / black version called warehouse beetles, but both are in same family.. Someone here posted an image of a cast larval skin, I couldn't reply to that post though. Anyway they can be hard to be rid of unless you meticulously clean &keep your clean clothes in ziplock bags or containers, until you've resolved the issue.. they can be in the seams of your clothes, they can be in your bedding, mattress, wall moldings & carvings where dust tends to settle. Ironing clothes and bedding after laundering can be helpful in reducing their numbers, as in they're in the pupal stage, they have an impenetrable shell that holds up to extreme conditions (ie: washer on hot, and dryer on high 45m - 1h). An iron, and or dry cleaning is key. Dry cleaning is known to kill most insects as well. It'll be helpful to familiarize yourself by looking at photos of each life stage of carpet or warehouse beetles, so you'll know what to look for, though you'll likely need a lighted magnifier to help. Some can be big enough to see with naked eyes (like very small ladybug size), they also come as tiny as a couple millimeters (the size of maybe 2 of the periods at the end of this sentence). While I know the feeling of having a tiny bug that you're not able to ID, knowing about these critters should help several people here, based on their descriptions of the pests.

These hairs cause severe itching in people, can be mistaken as parasites, can cause allergic reactions in some people that look like hives, and other allergy symptoms. The end result for those sensitive to this is bumpy broken skin that appears as if it's been bitten!

All that from their hairs! They're not interested in biting humans or animals. They're into carpets, fabrics, curtains, detritus, dust, debris, such as dust bunnies of animal hair, or dust and hair build up in the crack between floor & wall, or in molding crevices, other places where debris can build up, that gets overlooked when doing basic cleaning.

Grown up, they into tiny, hard to see, flying bugs. They're tiny, they resemble mini lady bugs, but most are tan & brown speckled, there is also a dark brown / black version called warehouse beetle, they're both in the same family though.

Anyway they can be hard to be rid of unless you meticulously clean your home & things & keep your clean clothes in ziplock bags or containers, at least until you've resolved the issue (plus extra time, to be sure they're gone).. Mothballs are known to kill/ control their population, so using those inside of airtight sealed containers with your clean clothes, can be helpful in case you're concerned any of them survived the laundry.

If you have any rugs, throw away or get professionally cleaned.

Take particular care to check the seams of your clothing, or curtains or anything else fabric with a seam. If you have a car, they can get in there if you've got carpets and or fabric upholstery.

They can be in your bedding fabrics, seams of mattress, wall moldings, decorative carvings, behind shelves, anywhere dust, tends to settle & build (places you don't normally dust when your not deep cleaning).

That said, deep cleaning will have to be the more of a normal frequent occurrence to dispel them from your home.

I'm not sure if pest control helps with this type of thing or not, always worth asking. I know that pest control alone, is not recommended. Poison only, without any detailed cleaning of home & clothes will not remove or control this. They will eat holes in some of your natural fabric (woolens, silk, cotton, hemp) items.

It's helpful to familiarize with the life stages of carpet or warehouse beetles, so you'll know what to look for, though you'll likely need a lighted magnifier to help. ** btw: Be very very picky if shopping 2nd hand, or vintage, check under collars, tags, buttons, snaps, seams, etc & so on. Be careful, if they're picked up shopping only one item, they'll infest the rest of your garments. If your not sure, put whatever you bought in the freezer, or in airtight bag until you get item cleaned. **

    🪲

A few more commonly found, teeny tiny beetles whose hairy larvae cause itching & irritation just like carpet beetles, just in case yours are not carpet beetles.

These are even smaller than most carpet beetles, they're like mite sized:

    •Drugstore beetles

    •Cigarette beetles

The larval form is similarly hairy & can be itchy, can be attracted to medication, stored products, detritus, fungus, moisture, mold, damp, etc. Similar to carpet beetles, they can be found in poorly maintained rental apartments and homes owned by slumlords who don't deal with plumbing issues in a timely manner.

Hi everyone, try kleen green concentrate, use a mister and cover yourself all over with it at 5pm every night, I do this and they still bite from time to time but nowhere near as much as they do if I don't spray. Forget the house cleaning and clothes cleaning it's a waste of time and mental health care, concentrate on not getting bit by spraying yourself with a mister regularly and try not to scratch.

Yeah it's a nightmare, but since they only bother me when the birds have flown their nests leads me to believe they are bird mites.

I know exactly how everybody's feeling. I've had the same problem for at least 2 years. It's literally drove me crazy. I've been to the ER I've been to the doctor I've been to the ENT I've been to the dermatologist and nothing. And this is in between two states California and Missouri . They don't care they're just working for their check. They don't want to fix the problem or do the test that will fix the problem because they want you to come back. It's all about money to them. I've had ear infections in both ears a whole ring rash around my neck my second and third toe on my right foot it's swollen and hurt at the very tip. My immune system has went to s***. I have a rashes that break out when it gets Disturbed. When I get hot is usually when I start to freak . The rash has gotten bad as to Rising half an inch on both of my arms. I went to the doctor for that I asked him do you think I have worms, he basically laughed in my face. I have tried a lot of stuff for this. And I'm continually trying to find new ways to relieve the the pain. Here are some of the things that help me and I hope it helps you. I started taking apple cider vinegar organic with mother shots everyday. I putting local raw honey in my coffee, they say to take a teaspoon of it I just put it in my coffee. I've been taking allergy pill sometimes I have to take four a day. Recommended by the dermatologist that I seen. Dermatologist can't do nothing for me until I get a patch test which is $600 out of f****** pocket. I live on a farm and I heat my house with kerosene. I have noticed that whatever it is doesn't like it. I take baths with Epsom salt and bath oil by Dr teal with eucalyptus oil in it. Whatever it is throws off my whole pH balance in my body. I found that the Vagisil pH soap works wonders too. I've been taking shots of suja you can find it at Walmart in the produce section. I do sometimes take a diluted bleach bath. This infestation of whatever it is, It has ruined my life I can't work a regular job. I can't go into grocery stores because something in their air filtration sets It Off. My next step is going to the lab and getting tested for parasites. That's the only thing I haven't done. My blood has been tested so many f****** times. It's just annoying it's frustrating and I'm over it professionals not giving me an answer not even f****** caring. They think I'm crazy but I'm going to show them f****** crazy I'm not delusional I know my own body and I know you guys do too.

hey, i have this too. took over 2 years, but i do know now what it is. it is a fungal infection that comes from the soil and humans breath it in. if your immune system is not working properly, you will get symptoms, like finding those things in your pics above. the worst is the energy drain and one finds themselves asking why am i so tired all the time. the fungus is called coccidioides; and there is no cure, unless you magically boost your system to fight back. that is what i am trying. instead of killing the fungus, i am increasing my immune system to fight for me. it is slow and exhausting.

i am organizing to write a book about this to educate people, like you, who do know what makes them sick, or what is coming out of their bodies. i need your story. where, what, when and how. if you are interested, i would love to hear your story; maybe not the day to day, but if you answer those questions, i will add you in my book, no names, just stories. send me a short email and i will ask you questions back to fill in the gaps of your experience.

I truly sympathize with all that are having or believe they're having psychological issues because I bought a house and I bought it as is and it was clean inside very beautiful come to find out living in the central air ducts springtails bed bugs might of different varieties rat bird dog cat fleas dog fleas and these teeny weenie little bugs that look black look like they go as fast as NASCAR impossible to catch think you're crazy everybody around you think you're crazy so my behind went and bought a super magnifier with a light come to find out their life of different varieties and mites bird mites rats mold but they called them old m o u l d mites and most of these are almost invisible to the naked eye until you see something go flying by you think it's your imagination till you realize after looking so hard for these things for weeks and months that you're not crazy and there are bugs crawling on you a few biting you like the fleas for instance so don't kid yourself get it checked out because a cat flea which is different than a dog flea is known to call known to cause the old disease cat scratch fever

So about a year ago we started having a problem which started with my wife thinking that she saw bugs weaving in and out of her clothes I I didn't really believe her at first until one day I saw it with my own two eyes. Then we started paying more attention to everything and notice that our hair on the top of her heads was not enough for no reason so brushing it with a fine tooth lice comb we found little black specks that were being brushed out into our white sink along with little fuzz balls that were bluish in color at first then a pinkish looking color and now both, blabothboth weclothes and it appears that there is a little black dot in the middle which resembles some sort of bug, we are thinking carpet beetles at first after doing research, but now are totally unsure after everything we've read it's literally driving us crazy to the point to where everybody is looking at us like we're nuts. There is also been some leg swelling issues then I'm not sure go along with this or know it because I'm not sure of anything anymore. Whatever it is doesn't seem to bite but it seems to multiply very quickly, we've been cleaning with vinegar and vacuuming like crazy I've also sprayed with ortho bug sprayspray, I've used borax I just don't know, please contact me at mat. I'm going to share this article I found. It doesn't really offer a whole lot of hope. But in reality we all are still trying to figure out what this really is. I have been dealing with this for over ten years. Now my two young children have it too... https://morgellonspgpr.wordpress.com/2009/06/04/collemboliasis-and-mites-two-amazing-reports/

Also one more about the possibility of myasis and morgellons

@HU-376668875 did you ever find out what these little tiny black bugs were from the doctors that came to your house? I'm suffering from this right now, and I have been for two years. It's the most tormenting thing I've ever been through in my entire life. It's hard to tell anyone about it, because they think you're crazy. When you don't say anything about it around people that know they think it's not happening. It's 24/7, and the worst thing I have ever been through. Please let me know how to get help to get rid of this!

I have same problem just when I think I've gotten rid of it, its literally right back. Doctors are rude. Nobody will even do test blood work, tests nothing. Broke now and have no idea what to do next. My dog is just as miserable as me

It's Morgellons Disease. I promise you that is what you are all battling. It's a nightmare and the CDC doesn't recognize it as being real. I've battled this for 3 years. There are tons of Facebook groups that you can join and learn more. I'm sorry I don't have good news for any of you other than I've given you the name of what you are all asking about. I wish I had a cure. I do not. There is none at this time. It's a nightmare. It takes over your body and your environment. Weird things start happening. Indescribable things that sound absolut crazy but we all know that these things are happening and are very real and we all know that we aren't crazy. I mean, how could we all be describing the same bizarre symptom's and none of us know each together. If you get on Facebook and look for Morgellons groups and then click on Join, I promise you this is what it is. It will turn you upside down on one hand and on the othoer hand, it will make you feel like you are not alone anymore and that there are many people suffering and we believe you. All of you. I know that this is not made up and we all get run through the same bogus drill from doctors, family members, friends, etc. It's lonely. I'm so sorry to deliver the news to you. Believe me, I wish I didn't have to and was hoping that somewhere on here, someone else would have mentioned Morgellons so I didn't have to be the one. You are all in for the battle of your life. Joining these groups will let you know that you aren't alone and will make you feel better and less crazy, but noone else will believe you bc the CDC has said this isn't real. Noone wants to look at videos or pictures of the insanity or see things you have collected now and after you talk about Morgellons they still won't even acknowledge you or that this is real. They will still call you crazy and that then, makes it even more frustrating and outrageous. Good luck. If anyone would like to reach out to me, you can do so. My email address is jennilynnrogersr12@gmail.com. Make sure to put something specific in the subject line to let me know why you are writing otherwise, it may get overlooked. I get 100's of emails a day. Good luck. I'm sorry.

Here are some of the groups you can look for on FB to join. Morgellons Analytics, Morgellons Uncensored and Inflicted Affected Morgellons. There are tons. You'll figure out which ones are good. You'll get some good information and you will be utterly and thoroughly confused about what this is exactly and where it comes from exactly and why is there not a cure.....how is that even possible with SO many people suffering.

I actually did see the Mary above and Dustin above mentioned the same thing I am referring to. It is a fungi with lots of "co-infections" which is why noone can figure out quickly what's going on because there are so many symptoms and so much craziness. When youtry to even explain one little thing uyou sound crazy. Let alone trying to describe all of the crazy things that you are feeling and seeing. I mean, when you try to tell people your vacuum hose acts possessed or that your shower curtain now moves in an strange way and that it almost acts like it's coming towards you and/or the strings on the blinds on your windows seem to move by themselves or that lights will start blinking on and off when you walk in the room or that bizarre stuff is happening in your bathtub or shower and there are these strings and lint and white "specs of dust" all over your clothes, and you literally feel like you are growing a second skin and you can feel your hair moving around and you are certain that your hair isn't yours anymore. Sounds pretty crazy, right? Had you not seen it with your own eyes for months and years on end, you would have a hard time believing it , too. It's in your car, it's in your clothes (undergarments included), it's in and on your skin, it's in the toilet paper and the napkins and cotton balls, and it's in the food and drinks that you buy even if you go to the gas station and buy a coke by the time you get out of the gas station you feel like there is something moving around in your coke. We sound certifiable. It's all true and it's a nightmare. Many think that this has been bestowed up on the population on purpose by man and others think that it was put here on purpose but it took on a life of it's own and now they don't know how to make it stop. I don't know what the truth is, and I'm not even sure who THEY are........"they" are evil, though. Someone will have to answer to this at some point. i have to believe that is true,.

I live in the Denver area and have been suffering with this mystery organism since July 23. Doctor's have been no help--PCP/Dermatology/Gastro. Infectious disease won't see me without a diagnosis so it's a big catch--22.. I've tried a lot of things to solve this problem since the only real help from the medical community has been ivermectin. My main symptoms include itching/feeling bugs crawling on me and jumping and sometimes spraying something on my skin. I've found that Hydrogen Peroxide, Saliclylic Acid, Hibiclens, salt water and a hot tub/shower combo provide the most relief but nothing provides a knock out blow for this infection. it feels good to find I'm not alone with this problem. I'm determined to find a solution to solve this. I've also thought this could be: bird mites, carpet beetles, myiasis, etc. but nothing seems to be a good match. I'll upload a few photos...

It is a nightmare we have all been through. I have figured out what kills them and it is red carbolic soap. My husband and I & 2 dogs were all itching but after using the soap for week we are all itch free. The lumps on my arms have disappeared. Shower, then switch water off, apply soap, leave for a couple of minutes then rinse off. Apply to hair, everwhere on body and soles of feet. Please post about your success to spread the word. good luck. x
