What I am trying to do,is make a few elves about 2,1/2 feet tall to climb up a candy cane ladder to my balcony outside. I am a pretty good seamtress and have been trying to do soft sculpterd faces and I am not getting the right "look". There is an elf on the internet called 'Galen"by Gail Kellison that would be perfect but the web class/pattern has expired. I could enlarge or altered anything you might have. I have been trying to do this project for 3 years now, made husband hurry up and make ladder and still no elves. LOL Any help very much appreciated.

Catkin, I'm fortunate to have a room in the basement that houses the litter boxes, although the litter still gets tracked around a bit. I use 3 huge shallow plastic containers that I found at Walmart (think they're actually underbed storage boxes) with a clumping litter and it gets cleaned twice daily. No problems (so far) with cats sharing the boxes. It's a crazy number of cats, I know. They're actually all old (stray/rescued) barn cats that I've had neutered and spayed over the years. They usually spend the summer outdoors, since we're in the country, but it's -20ish outside these days. DH started slowly letting them in during the build and now they think they own the new "barn". They have a perfectly good, very warm horse barn to live in, but they're spoiled rotten now... Dawn

Eryn - Aloe plants (and almost all succulents) will indeed change colors due to light levels. Some will turn quite red, others a bronzy brown color. Many find these color changes desirable. It is not necessarily a sign of trouble. I find that nearly every time I repot or replant an Aloe vera plant, it will turn brownish for a while. This is probably due to stress. This Aloe vera plant is quite green in this picture - This is the same plant, looking quite bronze colored, or suntanned. If the plant is otherwise healthy, don't sweat the color change. It may be a good sign that your plant is getting enough good light. ;-)
