Bev, I'm glad you liked your package. It was a lot of fun putting together, and when I thought I had enough, I'd come across something else to put in it...lol! When I was wrapping your gifts, Bump was watching and "administrating", and Stella still swears she helped! She kept getting into the wrapping paper and sitting on it! When I saw the canister of old-time candy it made me think of my childhood, and I was hoping it would do the same for you. Sadly, the canister was a bit bigger than the box was deep, but the candy made it through, which was the most important thing. As for the seam ripper and pins, I got those on one of my excursions to joanns. I was needing both, and I figured you could always use them too. Today I received another card! According to the note written on the envelope, it was delayed due to the zip code being incorrect, but at least it made it! Thank you Kathy (katkni) for the very pretty cardinal card and seeds. I received lemon basil (I've been looking forward to trying this!), calendula, black cumin (sounds interesting), and cosmos. Bonniebee, I've about given up hope of ever finding that pattern. I lost it during a move in 1978 & have been trying to replace it ever since 78. I've been searching ebay, vintage pattern sitess & pattern shops ever since the internet came about & have been unable to find one. I originally purchased the pattern from one of the NY Sunday newspapers & made it for my son when he was a toddler so the year I bought it would have been sometime around 1973 to 1975. I goofed up the years in my original post. I'm tired of searching for it every year so this board is my last hope of ever finding it again. I have a granddaughter who will be 2 in Dec. & I would really like to make the slippers for her. If somehow I get lucky & someone on this board has one I will share but after all the years of searching with no luck I don't think I'll ever be able to get that pattern again.

Thanks I do belong to that site but there was nothing. I found something that was easy enough for me to make bigger to fit his head. My problem always is I am horrible at knowing where to add more stitches to adjust a pattern and I need it spelled all out for me. Mary
