I would love one of those, it is so real. I have sold most of my dolls but have several babies that I have kept. That is odd for me to do, I never liked baby dolls, but there were 3 or 4 I could not resist.

I took a newborn doll to an aunt's 80 birthday and people thought I had a real baby.

Hi, thank you, EmmaR.
I can see how people were fooled with your doll at your aunts B.D. party. They really are lifelike!

Hi Vala55, No, he is a vinyl doll. Years ago when this craft first started, they were made out of play dolls who were then taken apart, paint removed, hair added, ect...And completely redone..that's why they called them reborns. Now there are doll kits specifically made for this, but we still call them reborns.

About 20 years ago my granddaughter's other grandma sent a picture of her into some company that makes those dolls. It scared my granddaughter and she has not liked dolls since.Recently when they moved, they had to take the doll out of the attic and it's eyes had turned purple and it really freaked my granddaughter out.She didn't even want the doll brought to the new home. I love dolls and offered to take it,but my daughter wanted to keep it. I think they are beautiful when they are so lifelike.
