Yes I posted on the wrong thread so I will copy and paste... Well now we are thinking of a Nordictrack instead of Bowflex...We can buy one right here in our small town and have it delivered and set up and we don't have to mess with doing that...these suckers are very heavy...and my DH has a lot on his plate right now.... I posted this at the KT but I'll post it here too... I have been walking indoors for the last week since the weather is so nasty...I set up a little routine of walking through the kitchen and dining room and circling the table and the bar...It is actually kind of fun and I put on my ear phones and listen to the tv and I carry 3 pound weights to boost it a bit....I have been doing the 10K steps as a guide...I figure with a 10 K walk and a normal 2 thousand day I am getting some exercise...My Beloved DH is going to buy me a treadmill as I really don't like to get out and walk on our country road...I doubt anything would happen but you never know when some jerk might be desperate enough to want to do an old fat woman...LOL I am going to concentrate on eating good for the next week...I just have to get some pounds off or I can see myself screwing up big time...I am at a point so close to saying ..who gives a crap that it's not funny...and I know that is the wrong thing to do...I just have to re-commit to getting these last 10 pounds off...my body seems to be fighting it so bad.. I am going to give up bread altogether for a week or so and see if that helps...I only eat whole grain and not that much but I can't think of anything else drastic to do...I hope you all are eating good...there is no excuse for me not following my program...It's a good one and not that strict... I am feeling pretty good about my plan now so I am not bummed out or anything like that...just got to get past this 150 thing where I seem to be stuck...

Ruthie quit being so hard on yourself~~you are doing great. We are all older now and it took awhile to gain it so it will take awhile to take it off:) Do I sound like a WW's leader??? WC I cook just like you no sauces, no butter very simple I always have, that is why everyone in my family is at a good weight:) I on the other hand am a junk food, stress, worrier eater:( My DH has always worked evenings so by the time I was done running kids around and fiddling with them I just vegged on the couch and ate:( I even hid candy bars in my purse, I did not want my kids eating the sweets LOL!! OH, the bad in the taco salad was the sour cream and the guacamole a plain avacodo does not bother me, but you never know what resturants add to the guacamole to make it not turn dark. I would rather have it all on the side they just put too much on I took about 1/2 of it off. I eat taco salads alot at home too. Last night was my weigh in, I lost 1.2 pounds last week~~~~I asked how can that be I am just trying to maintain??? And I keep losing??? I have even lost count of how many extra points I get now?? I will have to ask next week. I will be a lifer by next Friday:)I got another charm for the key chain they gave me~~~you get a key chain after you lose 10% of your body weight~~then a star charm with WW on it for getting to your goal, last night I got another charm of hands clapping, for being there 16 weeks (I got it two weeks late) I will get something else next week for being a lifer:) I keep my CURVES pass on the key chain too:) I like them all, they are very nice looking:) LOL!! Last night I was so starved after WW's the time is before I usually have dinner so I do not eat before I go also thinking I will weigh less:) Usually I will get something fast food to take home, always racking my brain as to what would be OK. I got a bacon cheese burger at my fav hamburger place~~no cheese and no sauce GAWD it tasted so good! When I got it home I added my fav hot mustard and a bit of bar-b-que sauce:( YUMMERS That may be my extra points for the week once I sit and figure it out but it was worth it. I knew it was good when my cat tried to attack me to get it:) I am off to clean my house~~it is a two story so that should count for alot of exercise today:)

Hello all. Life keeps getting in the way but I'm still here. Here's a cut and paste from another forum for starters. This was 2 nights ago. Well my day has started with a bang and I haven't been to bed yet. Around 2:30 am the dogs went crazy in the neighborhood. Our Rottie went absolutely nuts and I couldn't see what was going on so I called her back in. Our Lab who has a touch of Coonhound went out and joined in but not like the Rottie. Shasta (the Rot) became extremely stressed when I tried to keep her in so after distracting her with play for a bit I let her go out in the backyard again around 4:30. Both dogs started going at the rear side fence and then I heard a splash, a crash and a lot of hissing, high pitched barking. Got DH up and we saw the dogs had crashed through the fence and they and a large racoon were all in the neighbors in ground pool. DH goes around to the neighbors yard and I stay on our side. He's in the neighbors yard trying to corral 2 large dogs who are jumping in and out of the pool trying to get at the coon swimming in circles and the neighbors are nowhere to be seen. Finally the neighbors turn on an upstairs light and call out their bedroom window to ask what is going on and DH tells them they have a coon in their pool. They don't say anything and turn out the light. DH finally get both dogs back thru the fence. We get them in the house. He gets hammer and nails and repairs the fence. It is still dark and still no sign of neighbors in spite of all the commotion going on in their yard. So now I'm sitting here waiting for 2 wet dogs to dry and the Rotti is strutting around so proud of herself for taking care of the" intruder" and our Lab/Coonhound acts like he just had a fantastic playdate at a pool party. See life in the suburbs isn't always all that dull either. DH had our anniversary dinner on Tues. Tonite I have a Red Hat dinner and on Sat. I have a Red Hat picnic. FOOD and more FOOD. I'm not losing but I'm not gaining either. This is good ;) but I really need to get back on the program and go for he next ten pounds. Jen, WW is great because unless you do their CORE program there are no bad foods. Lots of peeps have great success with the Points System. It does take some planning (or staying up late at night to cut up enough fruit for a couple of days) to do CORE, but I think it's been worth it. I don't know why it works, but it does. Maybe all that fiber offsets the calories? One of my coworkers is doing Jenny Craig's plan and just can't believe that we don't count calories or points or SOMETHING and yet we still lose weight. When I tell her I had a baked potato or rice, she just shakes her head and says it's wrong. And yet we continue to lose weight. Think how we'd do if we could actually get our butts in gear and do some exercise. On CORE we have 5 points a day to play with. In the beginning we were very strict about making sure we only used 5. Now, we kind of know how many points our snacks are worth and just guess. And it's still working. And we really haven't downsized our meal portions (you SHOULD pay attention to portion size). As long as it's a core food you can eat until you're satisfied. My new favorite dessert is chocolate pudding with couscous in place of tapioca. The best part is that it's CORE. I do understand about hectic schedules, believe me. I work full time and have a lengthy commute. It's all about doing this for ME, and I'm worth it. That doesn't mean that I don't grumble when I'm cutting up fruits or vegetables at 10:00 p.m. Sometimes I will make or prep something for the following night's dinner before I sit down to tonight's dinner. DH made a ground beef and chicken meatloaf for dinner on Monday. I boiled one artichoke for an idea I had that I wanted to make later in the week. On Tuesday, the plan was to just reheat leftovers for dinner. So, before I did that, I chopped and diced and sauteed and put together a yummy ham, potato, artichoke fritatta, cooked it on top of the stove for a bit, then put it in the oven and went about heating up the leftovers for dinner. Today's lunch is fritatta. Maybe even dinner if it's as good as it smells!
