Why doesn't garden web have the "browse" feature that allows uploading directly from your computer? They have it in the name that plant forum cause pics are crucial there. But more and more pics are needed in this site as well to diagnose all kinds of problems. I would like to see that feature added to this forum as well. And while I'm making requests, what's with all the pop ups now? I scroll down and then the pop up moves the screen. I click on things I don't intend to cause the screen keeps moving. It's getting very commercial and I don't like it. As far as posting your pic, what you need to do is get the address for the pic so we can see it. Right click on the pic at the photobucket site and select properties. Then you will see the address. Highlight the address and select copy. Then you can paste it here where it says "optional link url" and we can follow the link. The link to the pic will appear at the bottom like you see on this post. Good Luck. To post in a message, you generally need to put the picture on a picture hosting website and then use the HTML image code to have it appear. It wouldn't be there "forever" if that site goes down for some reason or you remove the picture from the site. Alternately, GW lets you upload pictures to their server via the Hibiscus Gallery. There are good instructions for posting pictures here.

Maybe this will help some more: I use Photobucket and load the pics I want to post there. I edit the photo, I resize it to the larger of the options. Go back to "album" and select your picture and click on the HMTL tag. It will say "copied". Go to edit at the top of your screen and copy. Go back to GW and write your post. then put your curser (?) where you want your photo and go to edit and "paste". You should see a long thread of letters etc. When you review your post you SHOULD see the picture the way you want it. It seems easy to me now but it wasn't at first and I needed all the help I could get.

The way I do it is to first upload my photos to Photobucket. A basic account is no charge. You can set the upload size to something reasonable like 640X480, or load the pics full-size and then re-size them individually to whatever size you want. Below each of your pictures will be 4 separate link options. Copy the link for the "HTML code" and paste that directly into the text of your GardenWeb message wherever you want the photo to appear, preview your message and the photo should be there.
