Comments (4)here's our dry bar. it connects the kitchen to formal dining room. this pic was taken before the outlet covers and wine glass holder were attached! the cabinets below have pullouts that hold all the alcohol and mixers. uppers hold all of our glassware and crystal. beverage fridge is a Kitchenaid. opposite the bar is our large walk-in pantry....See MoreDining room accent wall color to go with wet cement grey
Comments (3)Yellow is a cheery contrast for gray. I'm working, slowly, on a sewing/craft room; I didn't originally plan to paint it gray, but I saw a friend's living room, &...there I went. Although my usual mantra is "warm colors with warm colors & cool colors with cool colors"... when the cool color is gray, it seems to highlight the light, bright, warm pastels. My current, not set in stone or even jello, plan calls for curtains with a yellow/green/orange pattern, or maybe a turquoise/orange (or peach) pattern. so...release your inner butterfly!...See MoreMy wet bar is "eating" my living room!
Comments (6)Removing the pass thru wall was my first idea. I'll need a professional consult to determine if it's possible. Based on it's position, I have a feeling it probably cannot be completely removed. I'm liking the idea about closing up the pass-thru, but then there's just a (weirdly placed, imo) wall dividing the space....See Moreseeking advice about kitchen layout
Comments (27)Jan- in her prior thread the OP wasn't thrilled about comments that weren't tailored to her specifications either. And the plans for this thread are edited so Houzzers won't see and comment on the fact that the island has seating for 4 right next to an in-kitchen table with 8 chairs right next to a dining room that seats 16. Because dontcha you know, that Houzz is a place in which the posters get to control the respondents comments, or did I miss the payment agreement in here somewhere? (sarcasm font on) Apparently even the people whom she pays for advice aren't enough so strangers input is solicited but the helpful strangers are nipped at in multiple threads. One really has to wonder. As Sophie might have said, Run, Forrest, run. To the OP- A sense of humor is extremely helpful, as is gratitude for helpful people (especially total strangers) with experience and expertise and other viewpoints whose advice you solicited. And more than a soupcon of humility. All are necessary for social media like this. Oh sorry- that was unsolicited advice, just couldn't help myself....See Morejessica13
