Small Fall favor help......

I'm trying to come up with a small, inexpensive Fall/Halloween favor to give each person at each table at our card party...Nothing elaborate, just nice....All I can come up with is fall candy wrapped in nylon net and tied with a pretty bow..I'll need to make about 100 so it has to be something simple..Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated....Thanks

If you have access to baby food jars you could always brush them with white glue and cover them with fall colors of tissue paper to make tea light holders.

Nothing wrong with candy. You can never go wrong with candy!!!!

Here are a few things that might help you. That's alot of little gifts you have to make. Maybe you can find a good deal on votive candles. Good Luck!!

Halloween Candles. You can purchase some very interesting
molded Halloween candles in a variety of shapes and sizes (like pumpkins, ghosts, haunted houses, etc.). Wrap up in orange tulle and tie with black curly ribbon

Orange Net Favors. Cut 6" circles of tulle in orange and black colors. Place either candies or a small votive candle in each circle. Gather and tie off with the opposite color of ribbon. (Orange ribbon, black tulle and black ribbon, orange tulle.)

Witches Broom. Buy small straw brooms (available in craft stores). Wrap black and orange ribbon down the handle and tie a black bow just above the broom. Add some autumn colored silk leaves and dried flowers tucked in and glued around the bow. Maybe attach a small magnet.

I don't do too much filtering and can't help re total volume, I guess I don't even understand what or how a 'bubble pump' would filter, but I can help with the connection. You can find almost anything you might need at a hardware store, or Lowes/Home Depot although perhaps not completely together. The issue you didn't mention is controling the flow to the spitter. After the T you will need a shut off valve on the way to the spitter that you will turn part way off until flow is correct. The pump connections will depend on your pump/ waterfall, and spitter locations. That wasn't clear. Presumably this is all flexable tubing and if so then you will just need a connector with female thread to 3/4 barbed tubing fitting. These are usually found near the pvc pipe and fitting section. You will also find 3/4 tubing T fittings there too. These tubing fittings get jammed into the tubing. Usually you warm the tubing in hot water to make it soft enough to push the fitting in. You will probably need extra and different fittings to connect the shut off to the tubing. If you already have a shut off in the spitter line then neverrr mind.

Perhaps if you can...round up playbills from Broadway shows (ebay?) or at a flea market. Also get your hands on oodles of sheet music-hopefully w/show tune titles, but not real necessary. I'm thinking you could fold the sheet music into little boxes, then decoupage them so they are stiffened, then fill w/colorful tissue paper and whatever 'goodies' you choose for the favor boxes. Then, maybe for the centerpieces...using artboard (foamboard)..have someone design an outline of a Broadway theatre marquee (I know I misspelled that word LOL) and within the area where the show's name goes-decoupage the actual title & any graphic on the playbill-into the sign. Of course you'll need to do both sides. I think you can actually get an idea for the marquee by looking at Stumps Party online. These could be inserted or glued into a sheet of thick styrofoam,by making a slit in the foam, then surrounding it with silk flowers in your colors, gold foil or black music notes & a G Clef.

My advice is to plant some trees, shrubs and conifers along with your perennials, paying attention to their mature sizes and light requirements. Good luck! A photo of the area will help, also whether you have much sun or shade where the beds are.

I've found lots of neat metal basket- and tray-type things at Goodwill, garage sales, and such. They have good airflow around all sides and bottom, since all have at least little feet. I can leave them out in the rain, and some I can bottom water with the pots in the container. (I clean them all first.) They are all different sizes and shapes, and not particularly space efficient. But I do really like the added character they provide for places & times I have the space. :-) Here's one I particularly like the color of (I added green chicken wire, that I had laying around, to the bottom so it's steady for smaller pots): Here's one that's super steady for the right size pots. The outside holes are about 2.5in/6cm, and the center is bigger. I would love to find more of these. Anyone have any idea what it is? I took a few pots out so you can see better -- it opens like a clam shell and has a latch to close it, as you can see up front. For tiny pots, I use egg cartons:
