Choosing window frame color...black or bronze?
Comments (0)Anyone have black wood casement windows? We're building a house and it'll be a yellow stucco. I'm trying to decide whether to go with aluminum clad wood windows in a bronze or a black. I like the look of the black metal windows in Arizona but in Colorado we have to use a wood clad. I'm wondering whether black will look too heavy. Pictures anyone? Thanks!...See MoreDark Bronze Exterior window color or off white?
Comments (7)The darker windows offer a more custom, upscale appearance but if you are concerned that they could appear dated at some point, here's an idea: If you plan to sell within the next five years, go with the dark color. If you plan to keep your home longer, go with the white and add a rich, custom look through other accessories such as shutters and front door color....See MoreMatte Black vs Oil Rubbed Bronze Hardware
Comments (12)Rubber oil bronze is a bit more traditional (with hints of real metal coming through) while flat black is more contemporary. Either could look striking given the description of dark oak and black countrrtops it really becomes a preference. The key decision in my mind would be, what are the switches and light fixtures (in that particular room specifically) ? if your house has an open floorplan its also OK to do "zone" design meaning whats in the kitchen can have a contrasted finish from the livingroom. a side note if going with lots of dark both in fixtures and cabinets (and/or appliances and sink) be sure to bring in light for contrast, either with lots of daylight (windows), flooring, upholstery or in the adjacent space so the eye can flow or pop. Having multiple shades and texture of the same family can be beautiful but too mucb of a good thing can make it overwhelming. best of luck....See MoreDark Bronze or Black Windsor Pinnacle Windows
Comments (2)Tough to say with just snippets of what you are using as one cannot tell cohesiveness. What does the house look like? Can you get someone to do a rendering? Are you locked in on Windsor Windows?...See Morecreek_side
