OMG, I Have The Best News to Share

I received an email yesterday from an eBay crafters group who asked me to join their group. The group name is NEPG (New England Primitive Gathering). I am just so thrilled and excited about this (one day before my birthday, it was like an early birthday present). I had to call my Sis in OH right away and all I could say was "Oh my God, oh my God, you're not going to believe this!!" Here I always thought my stuff wasn't good enough and now I'm being asked to join this crafters group. I feel so honored. As I understand it, it's not required, but when I list something I put "NEPG" in the listing title and you can just type that in the eBay search box and the items listed by all the members of the group will come up. It'll mean more exposure on eBay. Ok, back to crafting....

I just had to share this great news with my friends on this forum.

That is wonderful news, Sal. What an honor! I don't know why you thought your things weren't good enough. Everything I have seen that you have done has been excellent. Congratulations!!!

Congrats! It's so exciting, isn't it? I sowed Missouri Love Apple tomatoes, but at last glance, they haven't yet sprouted. I don't think it will be much longer though. I had one sprout of Lavender Vera the other day, but I looked today, and it was gone :( I'm sure many will replace it though. I have an Aster Crego sprout.

Cathy, you are so fortunate because you get those gorgeous Great Spangled Frits up where you live. We are too far south of their range. They see them in the NE part of our state, but not down this far. Linda, I've never had them on my P. incarnata. I've seen them flying in my yard, but never found any cats. It could have been I just missed them in the Gulf Frit deluge, though, too. I need to find another P. incarnata, but Precure hadn't gotten any of them in yet, and didn't know if they would. I imagine I can find one at TLC or possibly Horns or Satterlee's, but they're so darned expensive! These Blue Violets sure did attract them. Today I saw a HUMONGOUS Question Mark in the front yard. Had to be a female. Hope she left some eggs on the Hops in the front yard. I already have some in the back yard. Also saw a Red Admiral as well. I keep checking my False Nettle......... I'm almost convinced I should try it in pots. They are supposed to be hardy, but maybe my drainage wasn't good enough or something. Who knows. I've got to get my containers cleaned out, but I've been so busy trying to plant things. Susan

I have the iPod, smaller than the iPad, just as useful. It uses WiFi through my home computer, no extra bill. I can also use its internet functions anywhere there is a hot spot. I can use all the apps, books, music, etc. without a connection. I use it dozens of times a day. One, I'm constantly listening to audio books...full length, unabridged, audio books. I have 91 loaded into it right not, more in the Apple page. I can purchase audio books on line, or I can put any of the audio CD books I own into the computer and download them into the iPod. I have a Kindle app, so if I have time to sit and read, I can use it. I also have the eBooks and iBooks apps for more reading. It came with a many-functions calander, contacts lists, clocks (world, alarm, timer), voice memo, calculator, more-than-acceptable camera, an unending note pad, a maps function that is better than my high-$ GPS, a Weather app...the list goes on and on. I have a full version Holy Bible, dictionary and theasaurs (be nice if I was using them right now, LOL) I am very busy, and alone, all day, every day. I have the iPod tucked into my running bra strap and an audio book going while I go about my chores and work. When I'm alone I don't have to wear the ear bud because I can hear the books fine. If I want to listen to music I pop it in the Bose docking station and the sounds are wonderful. I don't play games, but I do use it to surf the net when I'm in waiting rooms, etc. I also have a couple movies in it at all times. I can post to my forums, read news, check on anything. I know every store and restaurant in the area that has WiFi!!! It's an amazing tool.

Thanks again everyone. It was a great success. Everyone seemed to have a good time. There were lots of kids which made it feel really special for me as mine are rapidly growing up. Way too much food as most of you predicted but my mom has a big crew of grandkids over at her cottage so I sent lots over there to be eaten today. The weather held. It was a bit cool but kids still swam and there were no bugs (very surprising for this neck of the woods). Burgers were good but I do wish I had taken advice to do pulled pork in a crockpot just because some guests came and went all afternoon and I felt like they would have eaten if food was out. There were about five families here for burgers and dogs and there were lots of snacks and appies for those who left early. My stove up and died this week (it was also celebrating its 52nd bday) but I didn't really need it. One friend brought a great appetizer. I think I may start another recipe thread and post it there Sadly, it gets dark so late here, no one was awake for fireworks. We agreed to have everyone back later in the summer when the sun sets earlier for a big show. All in all a success with such great suggestions from everyone here.

Congratulations!! The ebay groups are good.
I am a member of two for boutique designers. One of the boards has over 500 members.
It's always fun to share ideas and show off your stuff.

I belong to an invitation only group on eBay and it is a fabulous place for inspiration, getting geniune feedback from others in your shoes or have been doing it longer!! Your gonna love it!!

No Sjarz, I don't think I'll post less here or the other forums. Honesly, I'm on here way too much some days. And yes I will be busy crafting for the upcoming show and eBay but isn't the rule "don't forget your friends" for I truly have made some wonderful friends in these forums.

Thanks Jaybird. I've seen the "Gobble 'till you Wobble" before. My favorite these days is: "We Don't Skinny Dip, We Chunky Dunk." LOL
