DBT - Funny that I'd run across your post, just yesterday I was trying to decide how I might build a box to hold our hose. I was leaning more toward a planter box I once had that was square. Do you remember the look of the redwood benches that sit atop the edges of two square planter boxes? They would work perfectly. About six inches from the bottom they had a removable shelf that would keep the plant (or in our case, the hose) up off the ground. This would be great for keeping the hose off the soil and you could easily build a wooden top with a hold drilled in it for sticking your finger in to lift off and sit aside. That way you could sit on it, without having to watch out of a dangerous knob! :) The boards on the box I used to have ran vertical and it had a wider "frame" at the bottom and the top. Very similar to those in the link I've included. I know I was a bit late in responding to your post... but maybe you're still seeking an answer. Hm...wondering if you could rig some wire basket planters designed for deck rails & make them work. Maybe attach L-brackets with the long part anchored under the rock. Necessity is the mother of invention, yeah. Might just try this myself. A bit OT & not what you're looking for but I've used pvc pipe to build a couple of plant stands when a crate wasn't quite tall enough & 2 were too tall. Filled them w/pea gravel for stability. Worked well as I could cut the pvc to my own specs & it left more room for my fishies to swim as my puddle is small. blessings, ~digger

I have an LG LDF9932ST D/W with a top cutlery rack (3rd rack). The rack is split into two halves, and both are removable just by lifting (no catches to undo or levers to press). It also came with a cutlery basket which we do not use. The racks can also be rotated 180 degrees to adjust their height. I really like how this frees up space in the bottom rack. On occasion, I do get a piece of cutlery which isn't 100% clean. I don't know if this is normal with other brands, or with the cutlery basket. I've had the D/W for almost four months. This is my first D/W, so I don't have anything to compare against.
