Thank goodness you were not burned! Who'da ever thunk anyone would use a synthetic for a potholder??? That's just crazy. Anyway, yeh, I'd heat the pan and try to get it off that way. But be careful! You could either use the stove or, better, take it out to the workshop & use one of those propane torches--the kind that you would use for sweating copper plbg. (Get the fumes out of the house.) Or try taking an old, no-good wood chisel and chiseling it off. Or a side angle grinder fitted w/ a wire cup brush. After you get the big chunks off, then you could try using some coarse sandpaper or coarse steel wool w/ some abrasive cleaner.

Look in the dollar stores and walmart.

Sally, That doll quilt is so cute. I know what you mean about the contrasts. Here's another tip on 9-4 I got from Susie on this forum (she made a lovely 9-4 I spy quillow): If you are making a whole quilt with 9-4, use the same fabric for the center squares in all your blocks and make sure it has high contrast relative to the other fabrics you use. This really shows off the pattern. I love the florals in your doll quilt though. Vasu

What a very good idea Jayne! Thank you! I am going to try to make a few and attach a small cooking utensil to each. My son is an excellent cook and I always try to give them a gift card to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's for occasions ~ a potholder is perfect & will be easy to attach a small gift card pocket. Rosa - I still think your pot holder is the cutest I have ever seen!
