You might want to check your homeowners insurance to see it they cover it. I have heard that some do have a clause for this but I don't know for sure. I think it would be worth checking into.

Guess, we're such hicks here in Alabama that they've never thought of requiring it. One of the shows we do every year the "city" is the sponsor and they've never required insurance and I've never heard anybody else say that.

My mom used to a lot of craft shows. I think, if I remember correctly, she got something called a "rider" from her insurance agency. It's like an extra amount of coverage (based on or attached to your homeowner's insurance) that you can get. It wasn't much and I think it's a bonafide business expense, perhaps something you can claim on your taxes.

Lola is correct. You should be able to get a rider policy. I had that in Ohio when I was doing craft shows. Should someone trip and get hurt in my booth space, my insurance covered it. It also covered breakage of my goods in transport to and from the shows, my inventory at home, etc.
