Hi, I keep seeing your post. I suspect a lot of us have old craft mags that we feel bad about just throwing away. What do other people do with them? My local thrift store actually resells the actual Craft ones, even (maybe especially) the really old ones. I just bought one myself because it had something that interests me a lot in it. (Just what I need, lol) And I ve sent some on their way there. My problem is getting rid of old Country Living magazines. I hate to throw them out. For a while I stopped buying and looked at a different old one each month instead. I sold a stack for $1 at a yard sale a few years ago. Any one have any good uses? kathy

Would love to know what you did with them, as I am in the same position with some that were from both my grandmothers, my mother's and mine, so they go back fairly far. If you have a suggestion I would appreciate it Linda @ salinapalpurple@yahoo.com

I'm looking to get rid of maybe 50 kitchen magazines from the past five years or so. (I can't afford to do my kitchen yet, but I know what I want and no longer need them.) Does anyone want any of these? There are probably enough to fill at least two of those flat-rate ($8.95) Priority Mail boxes. I'd be happy to ship them for that cost. After I have had the pleasure of looking through the same magazine several times, it is time to look through it one last time, writing down the information that kept me from tossing it before. Usually, it is a URL, a product or company name ... something that can be written. Sometimes, it is a photo, a recipe, an entire article, a quilt pattern, etc. that I want to keep. So I tear out just the page(s) I need. I have a few folders and binders where I store stuff like that for future reference. I like your idea of scanning photos! It is so nice to pare down and keep only what you really need. Faster to find what you want, too.
