I bought an E-Z up tent.

It's fantastic - with 2 people !!!! The lady I bought it from - said she used to put it up herself. Either she's Wonder Woman - or she's lying through her teeth.I tried & tried and I Can't do it alone. If anyone has an E Z up - can you tell me about it? How many people does it take to put yours up ?I want to do outdoor craft fairs this season - but really have to beg for help.

I'm wondering if a neighbor in the next booth would mind giving me a 2 minute hand .

I too have an ezup and it is much easier with 2 people. If I have to do it myself and am setting up on grass I'll anchor 2 corners in the ground and then "pull" apart. It works for me. If I'm next to or even close to someone that I see is having trouble I will gladly help them without even being asked. It's just good to help someone in need and only takes a few minutes.

I have been using e-z up for over five years. Three of them - they don't last that long, but maybe it's because I use it a minimum of twice a week - more during different seasons... I do it myself. It sounds like your e-z up is new. The more you use it, the less stiff it is. Use some spray silicon on the legs and NEVER plant your legs to the ground while putting them up or even holding the legs down with your foot. The legs are not meant to go straight down and will actually break with that treatment... I always carry the spray silicone and a wrench along with a screw that will fit thru the holes along with a nut that will fit - in case one breaks or falls out - If you are having problems setting up, get someone to help - you can in turn help them... Crafters are like that - helping each other... Hope this helps. I also carry bungee colds along with empty gallon milk containers filled with water so that I can hold down the tent in the wind on concrete and tent spikes to use in the grass (I carry a hammer to help with it)

I ordered 3,000 of the E-Z pick seeds at the sale price. How could I resist? I plan on growing around 600 plants this season. Time will tell. I hope I'm not wasting precious space on these. This was my first purchase from Johnny's Selected Seeds. Order placed on Wednesday The seeds arrived Friday. They were shipped in a solid shipping box which was nice because they were not crushed or whatnot. On quick inspection of the seeds they looked good to me. No cracks or broken seeds in the one package. I already planted 3 in window planters today so I should have some progress report in maybe a week. As far as your shipping concer Cindy, you might try using the code 11-1005 when checking out. It saved me free shipping! I ended purchasing the 3,000 seeds for $6.00 no shipping fee. :) ofc I bought some other seeds from them to try out as well.

I know I will have to do this at some point and I am dreading it. I know there are methods now where they don't have to tent. I'm hoping that will be effective for me as I stuff planted ALL around the house including some palms that will likely have to be cut down :( On a small lot, you can't help planting around the house. I was told at one point I would have to remove my satellite dish, my fence that butts up to the house and all plants I didn't want fried. That was 2 yrs ago but I know I am biding my time. I haven't seen termite wings this last year though thankfully (I know, I know...they are doing their damage behinds the scenes LOL)

Certainly there is something to be said for the doubles such as the white Tacoma, Bright yellow Monte Carlo, and baby pink Angelique. Double the petals, double the staying power. Of these Tacoma was the most perennial, lasting quite a few years. I'm sorry I can't give you bloom times (as usual, busy spring and forgot to write things down). I believe that each of these does bloom at a different time. Someone suggested that Angelique would bloom at the same time as my Candytuft, and if memory serves (and it's been a few years) I believe that's what happened. A little less showy tulip for individual blooms, but perennial in my garden is the species tulip (Tulipa clusiana)also known as the Lady Tulip. They are reliable spreaders, and in a few years there will be a solid mass of them. Blooms last well on the stem and in the vase.

Allow me to inject a tip here, for all of the new tent campers: Whatever you buy---first take it out of the box or bag, and in the privacy of your back yard, practice setting it up, and taking it down, and repacking it! that way, if you get to the camp ground, or where-ever, you won't look like a real dumbo, trying to set up a completely unfamiliar tent. And, the circus performance provided by your tries to set up the tent, with little success, will stay with everybody who sees your performance, long after the day! I can still remember, several couples, from Quebec, who slid a brand new blue shelter canopy out of the box it came in, and then spent 2 hours wrestling with it, while spurning all offers from campers who had put those types of canopies up, already. There are tricks to putting one up, and i offered to show them how, but all i got were nasty looks, and gruff answers. So, wife and i sat in our coach and watched! Got lots of laughs! Finally, they folded up the poles, tore the canopy into shreds, tossed the spikes into the garbage can, along with everything else, and left! But, not before the males of the party used the ladies room, along with some other ladies from the camp! Those images are still fresh! We went to my Nephews' wedding and reception, up near Erie, PA. A lot of his friends attended, and brought tents etc, so they wouldn't have to drive home with John Barleycorn! One couple slid a brand new tent out of the box, and attempted to set it up, but old John Barleycorn had other ideas. About the time the sun was darkening, my wife took pity on them and did the set-up for them.

It was only used 3 times when I bought it . Hopefully it will loosen up. Thanks for the advice !!!!

I've been "anchoring" mine down for a couple of years now and the legs on my ezup aren't bent at all.

I bought one recently for an upcoming show. Hubby and i set it up in the yard as a 'trial run' and it took both of us to get it done.... I guess it could be done w only one person, but I'd hate to know I had to do it by myself.

I hope it works out ok for the show later this month.
we caught it for $60 at DICks sporting goods (used to be Gaylan's) -- we thought it was a bargain.
