I'm so glad you like the colors now. I'm reliving my build through you Kel. (And Totallyblessed and Mavs Fan and others.) I just love watching your houses come together. You're excitement is showing and it's contagious.

Pictures, please? We're still waiting for drywall tape. It's hard to believe that you and I started at around the same time  June 11, for us. It's great having you there to forge ahead, in any case, so that I can see what's coming  and your house looks sooooo good, too!

Good for you! I remember seeing pictures of your rock porch and of your lot with all the trees (awesome on both!). Can't wait to see more of your interior and what you chose for the doors and trim.

Both of you... we broke ground on May 2nd and we are not to drywall yet....... it's going s...l...o...w...l...y. We have a very small custom builder. I knew it would take most of a year but I am SO ready.

Today they are drilling the holes and installing the geothermal coils.

Awesome! Our doors & trim are going up too. But we have no paint. So once it's all done you'll be ahead of us. Glad you're liking your paint more. Is your daughter's room tamed down at all or peach still floating into the hallway? I'm going to have to fight the bottle of pepto bismol that will have thrown up in my dd's room coming out into our hallway too! LOL

Congrats! Very exciting to see trim and such go in. Sure makes the house, doesn't it?

I went out to the house this evening, after sitting in traffic for an hour and half. It was pitch dark but I had a flash light and when I pulled up I saw the potty knocked over. I just knew nothing had been done.

I had the car lights shinning at the house and I walked up and saw doors sitting in the garage. I felt sick to my stomach. The builder told me they would be there Thursday to put them in and the trim. So, the house sat for a week, more then a week really with nothing done. I went back to the car and left a message for the builder. He called me back within 5 minutes but I sent it to my voice mail. I just couldn't talk to him. I was so mad already from sitting in traffic, having to have my sister pick up DD because I was going to be late, hating hating HATING my new job and DH out of town. *SIGH* Plus, I told the builder I was leaving receipts for all the faucets and that I would like to have a check cut and mailed to me as soon as he could. That was over a week ago. I bet the receipts are still sitting in the house.

Oh gosh, I am sorry. I was so excited and now I feel so down. The travertine we want was on sale and I will bet you a million buck he never ordered it. *SIGH!!!!*

I do not even want to go back out to the house this week. I hate driving up and nothing has gotten down. I feel like because DH is out of town the builder tends to put us on the back burner.

Thank God I have this place to vent. Poor DD, I was so tired tonight when I got home. My sister made a wonderful dinner for all of us. I am about to open a bottle of wine and whine some to her! LOL!

Sisters are great (most of the time!) aren't they? I certainly whined a lot to mine while we were building. Sorry things are not moving as the builder said they would. You did the right thing skipping the call. It's just not worth the stress. Give him a piece of your mind tomorrow and remember the high and low thing...it will get going and you'll be happy again soon. Hope the wine helps. Chin up and keep on keeping on. We still want to see pics when you can. Did you decide to leave the paint colors?

Kel, keep your chin up. I know how you feel when you think something is going to get finished, just to find out something has to be done here first, then that, then that, ya, ya, ya. Just get er' done! I have 4 sisters and we all finish each other sentence whenever we are together. I love it. Wish mine were just down the road, I would love it!
I can't wait to see the pics of your home. You're very close...just hang in there!
