thought you might like to see my wreath, I used diamond dust on the eggs as the sugar, and stufed all the holes between the eggs with a sparkle filler ,saw that idea on another fourn where the crafter used the green easter grass.

what do you think? did I get carried away with the filler and diamond dust?

It's Gorgeous Oddie, really beautiful. No, you didn't use too much of either the Diamond Dust or the filler, it's perfect, along with the perfect bow. Excellent job my friend.

I made my egg mold, or I guess I should call it a form, with aluminum foil. I crumpled up a sheet of it tightly into an ovoid(? egg) shape, then covered it with scrap clay, and baked it. When I made my first egg box, I covered the mold with thin sheets of clay, cutting darts to fit, and smoothing. When I had it covered, I wrapped a cord around it, pressing very lightly to make a neat pattern to follow, then cut along that line with my tissue blade. I baked that, then while it was still hot from the oven I ran my Xacto knife along the line I cut before baking it, and gently wiggled the two halves apart. The first one worked great! I lined the halves with gold pearl, made a lip to hold the lid in place, made then attached the legs, and baked it again. After the second baking, I added another thin layer of my original pearl to the outside, not only to make a smooth seam between the gold rim, but also to strengthen the join between the bottom of the egg and the legs. I baked it again. Finally, I added the ribbon, leaves, rosebud and rose, and baked it one last time. I was a little worried that I might be baking it too much, too many times, BUT because I used a white background on my egg, I didn't want to chance 'staining it' in the process of adding the decorations. I've taken more pictures (which aren't too bad, IMHO, compared to my earlier ones LOL) and will post them ion the gallery. I have some close ups, open eggs, and closed eggs, so you'll have an idea of what I'm talking about. Oh yes, the little books that are in the first photo's? Karen, I'm so sorry for your son! My mother also has problems with one of her eyes and know how your son, you and your family can feel! So I'll pray for him... expecting that someone upon us does something for him. Sometimes, my Dad listens to my prayers :) Regarding your pictures... well, the very first time I bought a mini house, I was on holiday in Canterbury and bought a house box. Each time I went on holiday in England, I bought a new house box. I saw boxes such as the bunny boxes you have and didn't have the opportunity to buy some of them but plan to do when I'll go back in England (with the jet foil not the airplane). Your boxes are splendid, really! Also both your lavender and green dishes are so nice! Your spring wreath is also gorgeous... unfortunately that is the kind of item I can't have in my home: Minute, the dog would make it a mashed wreath in 1 minute (oh yes, it's a jumper dog... half dog and half kangaroo) :-( Well, thanks to you and all of my new friends of this forum, I just converted a friend of mine to holiday decorations, hihihi. So, we'll go shopping for the Spring and Mother's Day within two weeks!!!! By the way, your large rabbit should be gorgeous in her dining room too, lol.

Marlene the large bunnies on the buffet are a couple I picked up while out ys. I didn't have many before coming to Holidays. Now I don't pass them up! Karen, I knew you had something to do with Jas signing my book, "The Energizer Bunny". His book sits in our LR and I tell all what an amazing, inspiring guy he is! Love the part he wrote "Never Give UP" too. There is times that I to think I should open a store instead of donating so much.haha However, I would share with anyone who wants to come visit! Creek, decorating the outside was pretty easy. Alot of the eggs have wires so all I did was hang them up! So quick compared to tying the string ones. I'm thinkingif I go shopping after Easter, I will pick up more for next year. I know I have more out in the shed tho.LOL I will always Treasure my book "Burning Shield" signed by Jas. Nana, not a clue how many Bunnies I have! Looking forward to seeing your new one that hopped in this year! Always wonderful to know the decor brightens someones day. Did you see this Jelly Bean tree someone decorated? I Love It! So simple and just darling I think. Thanks so much ladies for all the Sweet comments. @texanjana -- I don't have a pic, handy, but I'll tell you this, it took two batches of frosting to get the technique and to find the right consistency of frosting. I'll be honest, one early attempt using pink frosting lining the inside of the bag, stripes of red color gel, and a white interior (like the videos instruct) just ended up looking like a sea anemone, rather than flower! Great for a monster from the deep theme, not so much for spring flowers. Playing with the various tips was fun.

That turned out really nice Oddie. That filler is perfect with it, and you did a great job on the bow. Are those the pull apart eggs, or did you find solid ones? Is it on a styrofoam base? Inquiring minds want to know! LOL Luvs

Luvs I used 2 lg circle cut from a pizza box, glued together for strength, the eggs are the pull apart and had small holes I tried to cover, got them at the junk store, two lg bags for $1 so had to try, I bet some dimensional paint would look cute on the eggs ,little dots with different lines, alot of time but so cute.
I did the dimond dust after I glued the eggs in place, didnt want to waste it incase it didnt look good, and didnt have to cover the whole egg.
you guys made me laugh about the ribbon, it gave me fits!

Thank you! glad you liked it, had tried makeing one years ago but could not get the eggs on to where it looked nice, the grass makes all the difference, so I give credit to who ever came up with that idea!
Jackie and cheri havent seen any post from you guys in awhile, always love seeing your crafts!

Thanks agine! I had thought of adding a washcloth bunny head ,have seen a few wreaths with the bunnies, and they are cute! also you could fill the holes with some kind of small flowers, just a few ideas to pass on. please post photos of your wreath chickencollecter and anyone else who makes one, love seeing them.

oddie, I did the one with the green easter grass...and the bright colored eggs various sizes, used a straw wreath and hot glued everything, need to get it out now...I like yours too with the pastels,

cute...did you glue the eggs to the cardboard?

i have the "Trash to Treasure" books and they squash empty soda cans so that the top meets the bottom, they paint them white and add rabbit ears and stuff..they are cute.
