Comments (2)use at least a 4 bulb T5HO. a 2ft*2ft would be fine to up to 2 flats, maybe 3 if you move them around a bit. For better results use the 8 bulb 6400k fixtures. The 54 watts are 4ft bulbs which are even better....See Moreis 40 watts enough light in bath?

Comments (2)Consider a dimmer and as high a watt load as the fixture can tolerate. Be sure the fixture can take higher wattage. We have an oldie 5-light chandelier which DH doesn't want me to overload. I use a mix of 25 and 40 watts bulbs. The clear ones are brighter than the frosted ones. We augment the chandy lighting over table with some lamps at periphery of room....See MoreNeed bright Edison Bulb for Pendant Light
Comments (7)I found the most amazing bulbs to solve this problem as we went through it ourselves. They are the large round led filament bulbs instead of the edison shape -so I’m not sure how you would like that look. They are only 40 watt equivalent but the guy explained to me that they actually seem much brighter than the 60 watt equivalent Edison bulbs because of the amber glow the Edison’s give off. What the amazing thing about these bulbs is that they are bright white when turned on full and when dimmed they go down to a moody amber colour so it’s the best of both worlds for task lighting as well as mood lighting. They are Philips brand 40 W led round bulbs. I threw out the package yesterday or I would post a photo but I will try to post a pic of them in my pendant - if I can figure out how to post lol. Not sure if you can see the diff in colour when dimmed but it is significant in person!...See MoreKaren15
