call your telephone people or internet server. They can walk you through it. Our phone company will send out their telephone guy and he'll help you. It is most likly an easy fix. Our server has a program that I use. The only mail I get is people I have on my "allways allow list" Otherwise it all goes into my "spam" folder. Then I check it for other email I want or just delete it. not sure if I explained it verywell but I'd first call your telephone co.

There is definitely an advantage to CAD as one can create objects, as opposed to just drawing pictures comprised of lines. Sketchup is the free or low cost CAD program, but it has a high enough learning curve to be discouraging to many. Though there are tutorials online. It might be one of those things that if you grasp some of the basics, it will begin to "flow." I don't know; I've never made it that far. Though it is just drawing, I like using MS Paint for plan and visualization, as it is simple ... good for anyone who understands perspective drawing. A simple base plan, since it is mainly lines, can be drawn on it with any computer, using the line and shape tools. The app has a built-in grid and measuring guide that can be toggled on and off. (The default scale is 1"=10', but it doesn't tell you that.) Compared to pencil and paper, it saves a lot of time if needing to erase, or when copying elements. And it is much cleaner. Since it's just drawing, it is not as precise as cad. For visualization, you can open any landscape photograph in Paint and draw over it, and copy and paste elements within it. However, since that process is not just drawing straight lines, it requires a touchscreen and stylus in order to use the program well.

We had a very severe storm roll through the KC area yesterday afternoon with winds 70-80 MPH. I was over at a friend's house at the time. He lives on about 25 acres that is on a ridge so the wind speeds were at their peak there. He lost several whole trees and large limbs and his deck furniture went airborn. When I got back to my property in a valley about 5 miles away, I only had some minor tree damage that I can see. There are still about 90,000 homes without power in the KC metro area as I type.

The "existing" cabinets are not accessible at this time. The questions remains--should the countertop be "painted" or "stained" for durability and also to coordiate with the one stained cabinet that will be in the room. Thank you.
