SDHC cards require an SDHC capable device firmware, generally not found with older devices.

Ok I do not know enough about it only what I find when searching perhaps it is the reader or the firmware in the reader

You did good, finding all that info for me, but yes, it may be a reader problem.

It reads all my other SD cards OK, but not these new ones which are supposed to be 4GB SD cards. There is no label on them, so I thought they may be SDHC cards.

I'll keep looking and trying.

I wonder if the problem was sorted out for Vista as the fix is for XP based computers
