Building a Home

Can anyone verify this info/give more info?

I found an older gentleman on Craigslist selling 34 squares of siding--enough for the home we're building--in a color very similar to what we were choosing, good thickness, for a significant discount over retail.

He has this same siding on his house, built in '94. He said the name of the siding manufacturer is "Badger" and that he was contacted out of the blue 2-3 years ago saying that there had been a lawsuit against the company and that the courts had ruled that anyone whose house they sided between x-date and y-date was entitled to new siding (materials only). He has not experienced a problem and doesn't want to re-side his house, so it has sat in a barn for 2-3 years, and he is now getting around to selling it.

I cannot find a THING online about a company named Badger that makes siding. I have googled it with "lawsuit"--still nothing. Does anyone know if "Badger" was bought out by another company, and if so what the name of the company is?

Okay, you know what, I am feeling like an idiot. I contacted him several days ago off an ad and just touched base with him today. I was having trouble even remembering which ad was his, since I had answered several ads.

I just went back and looked at his original ad, and even though he clearly said "Badger" repeatedly during our phone conversation and email exchange, the ad says Wolverine. No wonder it didn't send up any flags when I saw the ad! The whole conversation I was thinking, "Who the H is 'Badger'?"
Too funny. This older gentleman may be a tad forgetful.

Many sets of china are made witihout a teapot. Do you know where your grandmother got the china? There was a lot of china during the 70's that was sold/given away at supermarkets, drugstores and the like....you saved your register slips and with say $50 of slips and $5 you got a place setting.... I suspect that the companies which made the china for these promotions were larger companies making a specialized pattern. I have a set of 24 plates and mugs and salad bowls that are made in England which I boughtw ith the register slip and cash program. My daughter has a set of "Liberty Blue" which were my mother's, that came from the register slip and $5 program Some patterns were very popular....others not so much. Up until the mid 60's jugs like that were used as "Acid Carboys" to transport bulk lots of acids, such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid or muriatic acid. By the mid to late 60's they began making heavy duty plastic jugs that size, which were packed in a heavy duty cardboard container to serve as acid carboys. I am sure there was probably many other uses for those jugs but that is the only purpose I ever saw them used for.

1920-1930ish?But dovetail drawers usually are either earlier or indicative of more expensive furniture. It’s not my era, so a collector specializing in this might be more informative. It looks very useful for a sidetable in a dining room ( placemats, napkins, candles), a guest room (TV, extra linens, drawer space for guests), an entry (gloves, scarves, purse), children’s room (folded clothes at a child’s level).

guy follows up and says, "Sorry, I was thinking 'Badger' as in Wisconsin. I should have been thinking 'Wolverine' as in Michigan."
