Search indexer.e-e

Windows Vista Home Premium. This has taken over my computer. it constantly uses 52% of CPU capacity. I can do emails ok from Incredimail. If I start windows mail it will hang when I try to exit it. Right now I can't even delete a picture without the computer slowing down to a crawl. I have AD Aware and Norton 2009 Antivirus. Any help would be appreciated.

..........Thanks.....Jim

Do you mean Search indexer.exe,

I would suggest you Google that I can not find much about it see if you can.

Google this "indexer.exe" without the quotes.

Let us know.

I believe this is a desktop search tool which does consume tons of resources. I have XP so I'm not sure the same would apply, but I stopped it in msconfig. When I was researching whether I could do this, there were mixed opinions but I haven't had a problem. I don't know if it is a requirement with Vista. I suppose you could stop it and always restart it if you run into a problem.

Go here: https://www.energystar.gov/products/building_products/residential_windows_doors_and_skylights Click 'Buying Guidance'. Click 'Determine your Energy Star Climate Zone'. Enter your state and zip code. Your Energy Star climate zone, U-factor, and SHGC will appear for windows and doors. Make sure that the windows and doors you select meet the Energy Star criteria. You can search for windows and doors in your climate zone here (http://essearch.nfrc.org/) but it gets complicated fast. It's best to decide what types of windows and doors you want and contact local resellers. Example manufacturers and products: Marvin Essential Provia

HI Karen, nobody here can help you with what you'e provided. You're looking for a battery for an hp laptop, but we certainly can't guess what battery you need from that picture. You can't go by a battery hole, or a unreadable model number. We need more info. OR, you can simply find the model number of your laptop, and type that into the google machine along with "battery", and I'm sure you'll get plenty of results.
