Looking for a download and don't know what it is called!

Hello and I hope someone can help me find this free download.

I am trying to find a free download that tells you when you have a phone call , shows up on your computer so you don't miss any calls.

Right now I have a private line for my computer and would like to do away with it and save some $$ but need the other thing so I don't miss calls because my husband runs a business with our phone number.

Many thanks for any and all help.

Your probably better off like you are. What do you pay for a
private line for your computer? I have thought about doing like what you have now.
I did a search for computer phone call alert and got serval listings.

Just to get you started, try typing "catch a call" in your address bar. Lots of sites will come up where you can read about them and buy one--not free but darn close because for less than one month phoneline fee ($21. on Amazon now) you can buy it once and never pay a monthly fee. Two different models. Both require call waiting on your phone and if you want it to ID callers of course you need that service on your phone too.I used one (just the basic model) for years until I got broadband last summer and it worked great.

Different prices on all sites so check around. Be careful. I came across something offering a free download and immediate service--think it was called Callwave. It was a free trial but didn't give info about prices when free trial was up.

Also came across a website for Phonetray.com at shopzilla. Looks like a cheaper version of Catch a Call. $15 to buy and no monthly fee, but I didn't read completely. Also requires call waiting, etc. Just read carefully. Hope this helps. Sandy

It's a Dracaena marginata if you don't already know by now. Pot looks too large, roots could be water logged due to too much soil/heavy soil.

Wonbyherwits - that is sort of like I was thinking - maybe a little bigger. Basically, the way the county people described it to me, I should be able to buy the big (10"-12" diameter) black corrugated plastic pipe with Y-shaped "wings" on the ends, that would sort of serve as a funnel to collect the runoff and channel it down into the pipe. But I would want the wings to be only off to the sides, not on the top or bottom, since this pipe has to sit flush on the ground (the ground is too unstable from erosion to dig into it).

Maybe "frame with background". I don't know if PowerPoint has custom frames. You might need different software. You'd compose the picture with frame in software of your choice, save the image files, and then import the images into PowerPoint.

An apple gallette couldn't be easier. Just make your pastry crust ( 1/2 cup butter, 1 1/2 cups of flour...cut in together...toss in 3 T vodka and then enough ice water so it hangs together....about 3 more tablespoons, make a ball and refrigerate while you peel the apples. Peel and slice about 4 cups of apples, toss with sugar, flour and cinnamon....the amount depends on how sweet the apples are...1/4 cup is a good guess, and maybe 3 T flour and a teaspoon of cinnamon. Roll out your dough into a1 2 inch circle, place on your baking sheet, parchment is a good thing here, pile the apples in the middle, fold the crust over, and bake in a 375 oven until golden and bubbley. I like to sprinkle with sugar about 1/2 way through the cooking. You can also make small one serving gallette pastrys. Linda C

My phone bill is about $21 extra for the second line. It doesn't seem to work as good as my home line though! When I am connected to my regular line I can stay connected for hours on end, but the line just for the computer I get kicked off pretty often! The phone company tells me it is the server and the server tells me it is the phone co. you know that game! I have had the phone co. here many times but they still say it isn't them! Money is tight and I am looking for a way to save even a little and will check out the places you have told me about and thanks.

Cable TV here has a lower tier internet connection for $9.95, provided you have their cable tv service.
Phone company lower tier DSL is $14.95 last I looked.

Bellsouth satellite advertises internet at $19.95 per month with no commitment. Do a search for "satellite internet" to see what you can find.

I really don't think satellite internet is available through anyone for $19.95 per month. The cheapest I know of it $49.95 per month. Better than dialup, but not much.
