I did and have been pretty happy with it. It was a good solution for our house. The only thing that I don’t love is, I went with a 36” cooktop and a 36” hood. I am not sure if Miele makes a 42” hood but I think I’d like it if my hood was a little wider than my cooktop.

Vent-a-Hood ARS has been reported here to be reasonably functional. You would have to have your cabinet maker build the covering and incorporate access and return venting. I'm puzzled by this question because the hood mfr designs the re-circulating exhaust location, you don't get to choose! Literally 6-8 lbs of grease per year gets released into your home, and unless you're cleaning those filters really frequently, it is going to do nothing for you. The moisture in the air goes no where, and you are shortening the lifespan of your cabinets unless you're degreasing and cleaning them regularly. Just vent it to the outside!!! It is worth it over the lifespan of your kitchen. You know that sticky feeling on your cabinets? That's the grease. It's not good. Just hope you can reconsider.
