I'm running Windows 98. and would like to to install Windows XP. After installing XP I would then like to remove Windows 98. Is it ok to delete 98 by right clicking on the folder its in and click delete? Would I have any problems by doing it this way? Would I need to keep the 98 drivers in case
Find and run the windows xp upgrade adviser to see if you have any incompatable wind98 programs.
I did the xp upgrade disk then deleted winME, think maybe there was an option to do that right off the bat too. I installed xp every which way possible and the xp install option with the format disk and install as a new install was the smallest/neatest.
Any drivers you may need you can go find after the install. There probably wont be many that xp cant install from cd or the first web boot.
