Formatting question

Now that I got my printer working, I am trying to format a document. I am doing a certificate type of document and trying to put a border all around the outside edge. It looks like I've selected all the right buttons for a full border, size, color etc. but the border only shows on three sides of the document. I have been doing these in the past and when I go to print it always would tell me the document is outside the print area but it would always print anyway. This time I only get three sides. Any ideas why and how do I fix it?

Is the bottom border getting forced over to the top of a second page, or is it just not there? Also, what word processing program are you using?

kudzu9, I have the document in landscape format so it is the right hand border that is not there at all. It is a one page document... Microsoft Word.

tension and stich formation question

If the tension is balanced the stitch will look very much the same on the top and the bottom. On light weight fabric you will see an equal size dot of thread on the top and the bottom, just as you described. When you spread the seam open, and pull it apart, are the stitches nice and tight, and do the top and bottom threads meet equally in the center? I have noticed the slight slant you are mentioning. I have noticed it on machines with a rotary bobbin system vs the oscillating bobbin system. However, I am not sure if my observation holds true, maybe someone else here knows. Regarding the unnoticeable tension change when pulling the thread and changing the tension setting. The tension disks are open (not applying tension) when the presser foot is raised. Try it with the presser foot down.

As you have Word you likely have the full MS Office. Try Publisher and select Award certificates for a selection of them pre-made and modify your choice.
