Unless configured otherwise Vista accounts should by default save to their respective profile default file locations. Shall I assume MS Word is the app in question? If so the default should be My Documents. What does the Word MRU show if you go to File->Open? Was a memory key in use at the time? Finally if you know the filename or type of document, do a search for it. Having said that, I am not a fan of Vista's default search by comaparion to previous Windows versions. when you go to the tools options fonts area then to advanced and make your changes did you remember to hit ok at the bottom for it to take effect? did you shut down all instances of firefox then restart it to have the changes go into effect? It works for me I have mine set at 20 and 13, on min. I have None, I do have the box checked for let them choose their own size. That is the front end for settings in your about:config file, to make changes directly to your about:config do this open firefox in the url box type about:config go, you will see your entire about:config settings page. Scroll down till you get to the f's there will be several fonts settings listed, go to the one that is bolded for font.size.fixed.x-western you will see the columns to the right they are on mine user set, integer, 13 that 13 is the set font size, you can change that number, I suggest you write down what it was before so you can change it back should you need to. Just hilight the number and change it. Then you will see another one bolded font.size.variable.x-western, user set, integer, 20 on mine, again you can change that number but write down what it was. That is the registry fix worked on 8 but according to posters who have this same problem, says it doesn't work on 8.1. I am going to play around with enlarging every thing and possibly using one of my FF apps to work on the other.
