Lost Sound and Add-on setting at YouTube

Yesterday I downloaded a couple of songs from YouTube. Today when I went back to download some more, there was no sound on YT at all. I went to several other sites and they had sound.
To test the YT sound, I downloaded a song I have had on my computer for a long time. When it finished, I opened it, and it had sound.

I also noticed that one of my Firefox add-ons doesn't work on YT, either. I have No Squint, and once you set it like you want it, the setting is remembered at each site. All the other sites are fine, but YT doesn't remember.

Does anyone know what could be blocking the sound and add-on only at YouTube?

I have Win7, Firefox 24, and I use Freemake to download at YT.

Strangely I had that experience 2 days ago and jumped into panic mode.

But on inspection I found that particular video had the sound setting to off. Look in the lower left corner of the video area for the volume control. Hopefully it will be that easy.

Thanks, owbist, but that didn't work for me. Still no sound on several videos I tried and no add-on memory.

As long as this discussion has been resurrected - One Yard Revolution did a good video a couple of years ago comparing minerals added to the soil with rock dust versus leaves. Interestingly, the leaves came out on top as the better source of minerals. Which makes sense - the trees roots go down deep and pull up minerals from the soil the end up in the leaves, which are them deposited on the ground. It's nature's way of replenishing those minerals back in the top foot of soil where most biology happens.

Toolbar wasn't locked. Whats a vertical drag bar? And how would I drag open the address bar if I don't have or see one? Sorry, I'm obviously very inexperienced and confused. I do remember moving a "separator" to inactive because I couldn't see it or know what it did. So I've put it back but still dont see anything there. (By the way, because I didn't see it I added it again and the word separator went in again.But still don't see anything.) Please don't laugh. I'm really trying.Thanks, Sandy

I have the very simple 24 O.C. studs with 3/4 in drywall and it feels fairly quiet from room to room. The real issue is always the doors. You need to seal doors well and almost no one does that. We have sealed outlets and the HVAC design is not an issue that I notice. But doing doors right would require rather unattractive and somewhat costly tradeoffs. Think exterior door jambs. At the bottom, you need a transition or something retractable which is a point of failure and many are surface mounted on the door and aren't attractive. I have seen one that is recessed in the door but not sure where and install would be tough. And of course, you need HVAC returns in any isolated area. If you neglect the doors - what is the point with isolating interior walls? My strategy in the last 3 houses has been 2 sets of doors between spaces to isolate - like primary bedroom. If designed in a suite type fashion, it isn't awkward, I can't get anything to work for howling cats other than 2 doors or something unsightly.

Yes I've fallen in love with Francesco Mattana whose book has just been released: Eat Like a Sardinian: Live to 100. He is easy on the eye and makes his recipes most approachable and they all sound delish. There are a couple of plant based ones (plant based on a budget) (hilltop recipes) that look interesting. There's another chef but I can't recall his name now. I find them interesting and inspirational. ETA: Bob Morano

I played around with the sound button and finally got it to work. However, it resets itself back to no sound for every video I go to, so I have to reset the sound each time. That still isnÃ¢ÂÂt right, and I still have no add-on memory. I have no idea what will happen tomorrow.

Same here with W7 and FF25 beta.
Seemed to happen about the same time I reactivated my long dormant HP update function and downloaded video related updates earlier in the week. Could be coincidental.
