I personally love my HP all in one, it does do fax, it allows you to do pretty much everything right from the machine or from the pc, I like that I can just go to the machine and do what I need and not have to do it through the pc. Plus it has a great flat bed scanner that I love. The model I have is the
HP officejet 6210xi, I am not sure that one is still available but they have one very similar. It is the quietest machine I have owned and it is not very large it fits perfectly on top of a 2 drawer file cabinet. It came with a software disc. I have found the ink last a long time but I am not a heavy user either. I used to have a separate line for my fax but since getting my Fios I changed to having a dedicated ring number instead but I could have kept the same number so you should be able to with out problem.

Oh, forgot to mention it needs to be wireless AND have separate ink cartridges.

I'm using a separate fax machine. It is hooked to a separate line (than my home number) and has two numbers and two rings on the same line. I need to be able to dial out and answer this phone line.

Do any all in one machines come with phones?

I need a flat bed scanner and I've discovered that they are almost as expensive as a new all in one.

My printer is eight or nine years old and the fax is five or six and it does a terrible job copying. I thought I'd buy a new all in one but none at Office Max have a phone.
