Thanks for reaffirming what we had pretty much decided on already. I still have some concerns with the vanity area. It can be upto 94" in length. Hubby is worried it will look like a runway and end up being a major drop zone. (Current vanity is 84" in length so I don't think the additional 10" will make that much difference.) Any suggestions on configuration for the vanity. Again I am hampered a bit by the window that is 30" in from the wall. It has always made the first sink feel crowded (plus the door swung in to whoever was standing there). Would there be enough room to have a make up vanity approx 24" between the two sinks? I'd appreciate any guidance.

Thanks for the replies! The pitched ceiling is the wall on the drawing that contains the vanity and linen tower. The height of the wall where it meets the ceiling is 70". The wall tile squares are 6" each. I'm very short so the mirror will be low and our vanity will be lower as well. We plan to repurpose an antique buffet or console table and use a vessel sink. Would this be enough height for a vanity of this type and small mirror? My main reasoning behind moving the tub was the view we have from the house. This window overlooks a small private lake and is such a great view I wanted to relax looking out. I did draw a large shower in at 36x48 and could take some off the shower for more room near the tub. I drew it at 21" because that is code for bathroom clearance in MN. Hubby was already happy as we have a 32x32 right now so anything larger than that he said he would be happy with.

Thank you all for the wonderful ideas! It looks like the consensus is to put the shower at the end, that was our thought too. Our best layout idea was similar to williamsem's but I was concerned that it would feel small blocking off the toilet, but we do want the toilet a concealed a bit. I like Lotteryticket's layout, we don't want to feel like you are walking into the toilet and I think that a storage tower would definitely help with that. I also like Karenseb's idea, tons of storage!! But with only 4 feet between the two vanities do you think we would be bumping butts if we were brushing our teeth at the same time? As far as skylights go, we are doing this project ourselves and we have engineered trusses, we could probably tackle skylights but haven't thought too much about it. It would be nice to get some additional natural light in there, definitely something for us to investigate. A little off topic but, what are your thoughts on heated floors? We live in south-eastern Michigan and are considering heated floors but I'm concerned that it will be a waste of money. Any thoughts? Thanks!

ahreno, you can free up a bit of space by either changing the door to an outward swing or to a pocket door. Unfortunately, the 2 drawings don't show up well on my monitor so I can't see the shaded blue area. I'd guess it shows as darker grey with a 92" ceiling. If so, by incorporating this closet into your bath, working from the alcove to the tub, you can easily place a toilet, pedestal sink or vanity and a frameless shower stall on the 107" wall perpendicular to your tub along the 84" wall. If you don't add the 92" H area, you'll need to incorporate the red area into the larger closet. You'll be left with a 68 X 84 room. Then you can place a sink where the door currently swings in and may want to place the toilet in front of the wall that the pocket door slides into. The tub still works on the 84" wall and a 36 x 28 tight shower will fit. Not ideal but it gives you the luxury of a fully glassed in single person shower, your large claw foot tub and the necessities. Obviously, you can have a much more spacious scenario by incorporating the closet area, but this gives you an option.
