you can just leave them there in the vault that it what it is there for.
but yes I would most definitely run a malwarebytes scan, update it then run full scan

Got another question! Twice today I've got a pop-up from Resident Shield telling me my computer is infected. I'm not even sure what Resident Shield is, but I've just closed the window instead of clicking on anything else.

Do I need to do another AVG scan? I plan on doing the Malwarebyes scan tonight after I go to bed.

I do not know if what you are seeing is the real shield or if you have one of the fake AV infections which produces a fake shield it sounds like you do have one of the infections.
Run malwarebytes asap and post the scan results here please.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your desktop.
* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be found here: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\Logs\log-date.txt

I ran the ESET scan last night and it says NO Infections!

I think you must have dodged the bullet then. good job
keep that malwarebytes program, update it prior to use and use it to scan the pc about once a week with full scan.
