White subway shower tiles in a herringbone pattern?
Comments (6)That one of Bill's, is of course gorgeous. Bill- don't you remember though the one that was similar in tile design, and the person made these really awesome cuts around the chair, great close up pics... I know you were giving them some advise, especially on the floor and even commented on the tile cuts... they didn't have end caps for the chair, so they bevel cut them, ended the chair on BOTH sides of the glass, really precise cuts around the ogee... anyway... I am sad all the photos are gone from all those lost links. Anyway......See Morethose of you who have white subway tiles.. question!
Comments (14)I used white Daltile 3x6 subways in my bathroom walls. The floor is matte hex in the only white offered at that time, which truly is an off-whitish color. WIth a white toilet and sink and a white cabinet sitting directly on it, it looks fine. I again used the Daltile white subways on my kitchen walls near my built in fridge, which is paneled to look like my cabs. That white matches the white 4x8 beveled subways I am using on my kitchen backsplash. I am sure if you look up close there will be a difference, albeit very slight. I have off white cabinets (BM's Man on the Moon) which are almost to the yellow tones. My appliances are white, and the combination of the subways and appliances look nice together (even tho there are quite a few 'white appliance nay-sayers' out there!). I think the combination is very crisp yet softens the typical all white look. I don't like harsh kitchens, and find too much white and stainless appliances tend to look sterile and harsh. Perhaps working in a hospital for too many years has me swayed that way..........See MoreDoes anyone regret white subway tiles for shower?
Comments (41)leavemeout: If you are dissatisfied with the color of your grout, you can either make it white again or change the color by using Grout Colorant. You can either recolor the grout white or even change to gray if you want. The colorant (I used Aquamix) is epoxy based and has a sealer in it and in my opinion it was very easy to apply. You put it on with a toothbrush or paint brush and then wipe off the areas where it smears on the tile. I used it on my kitchen floor and it really made a huge difference....See MoreWhite 4x12 subway tile shower with niche
Comments (4)I did that and matched the niche tile with the vanity. I wish I had done the shower floor in the same. That particular tile was not for shower floors so we matched the bathroom floor and shower floor instead. I should have just gotten a different tile for niche and floor!...See MoreOaktown
