tiling tub apron--cost of round vs rectangular?

Hi to the Bathroom experts:

We are considering a drop-in acrylic soaking tub and would like to tile a small deck around it and tile the apron. We are partial to one inch ceramic tile. We have seen oval tubs (Kohler Purist) with a rounded, contoured tile apron that follows the shape of the tub on the outer side and ends up flush against the wall on the other side.

Does this rounded deck/apron increase the cost of the tub intstallation? Does it require unusual materials or skills? We will be hiring a general contractor and tile person but we live in a small town and would like to know if this type of deck and apron would be affordable and realistic. I'll attach a photo from the Kohler website that might help...if you imagine that tub in a one inch ceramic tile deck and apron.

Many thanks!

Liz
