The polished sections might be a bit of an upkeep, but a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth should keep it looking spiffy.

I had a similar sink in my previous home, mine was a chrome finish, so shinier than this one, it wiped clean with a microfiber cloth and water, very easy.
7 years later, the finish was as nice as the day I got it.
Although I cannot remember the make , it was as expensive as the one you linked.

We have a hammered nickle sink in our bar and, although I love the look, it's a bit of extra effort to keep it nice looking. I have to wipe it dry whenever I use it or it will show water spots/haze/discoloration. I guess I could stop drying it and just decide to enjoy the 'pantina' but we don't use it very often anyway.

So looks like the maintenance for this sink is not the same as normal copper sink (no wax is needed), just wipe it dry.

I am thinking to use it in my master bathroom. I like the size and style " rectangular and semi-recessed" but worry about the maintenance. I normally clean up my vanity top every 2 weeks. So I hope the sink is easy to keep clean. I leaned that copper sink is low maintenance. But this seems not a copper sink. I may change to ceramic or porcelain sink but not many choices ( I donÂt need faucet hole) on the market.

I disagree that there would be no maintenance... Nickel is a living finish and is NOT like chrome. If it is not coated with some type of lacquer or other finish, it will tarnish.

I did some research on copper sinks a while back and did look at Signature Hardware. ...turns out that most of their sinks were imported from China or India. This is good to know if you are considering a handcrated copper sink (whether nickel plated or not). There are issues with lead and other things like poorer workmanship on a lot of those sinks to consider. ...this is from personal experience...

We ended up deciding that it was a hand hammered sink from Mexico or nothing (and even then, there are many different quality levels). Again, this is with a copper sink specifically.

I would ask them where the sink is made and if it is coated with anything (or whether it's a "living finish" or ?). If you don't mind polishing it and then keeping it waxed, it still may not be an issue for you, but I would want to know before purchasing....

The link shows the warranty and maintenance of their nickle sinks. It says that their nickle sinks is living finish but not covered under warranty.

We have stainless steel sinks in our boys' bath, and while the SS won't tarnish or change color, it DOES show water spots and toothpaste dribbles much more than a white sink. So if looking good is important to you, you'd have to wipe it after most uses...

OK - well since it is a "living finish" then that means it can (and will) "change" (i.e. tarnish) unless you protect it with a wax or other type of coating. ...again, that does not mean you won't be happy with it but you should know that it will take a bit more upkeep than a SS sink.

Also - a note on water spots and "toothpaste dribbles" - this is another one of those areas where a wax really helps. We use a wax on our copper sinks (we apply every 2 weeks to 3 months depending on the sink and it's use). This is very easy to do and doesn't take a lot of time. ...it's very similar to waxing your car. It keeps things from "sticking" and makes everyday clean way easier. Toothpaste should not be an issue if the sink is waxed.
