I agree; not as efficient is a good way to put it. Chrome & Firefox do it so much better with everything; even saving favorites. I tried safari & found it very slow; so FF was the 1st to go in. I then added Chrome & am broken hearted they won't support my version OS any more. I have 2 FB profiles so I use one in FF & 1 in chrome. They both open different groups of pages when I open them. The only time I use Safari is when I'm on the 3rd FB profile for my community. I have to make sure to click the apple icon to end the program after I close it or it will continue to use memory.

Here's a low cost solution for you that might be even better than recessed receptacles. There is a type of extension cord made that goes by the name of FlatPlug or SnugPlug that has a redesigned plugin that is only 1/4" high when plugged in and the cord comes out of the "side" so there's nothing to stick up. They're great when you have no clearance behind furniture or want something that is totally flat with a floor plugin. Below is a link that will show you what they look like.
