Need Virus/Spyware Help!!!!

My laptop is infected as follows:

Trojan.Dloader.HK

Adware.Ezula.F

Trojan.Dropper.Agent.ER

Adware.Gator

Adware.Newdotnet.F

These files are attached to a file in my download directory under travelicoxp which is an exe file and ends with =>wise from #'s 0018 to 0022 for each of the virus/spywares.

No...Newdotnet is not in my add/remove programs.

I have Bitdefender Plus v10 which blocks it from my computer because they can't do anything else with it. I have tried deleting, safe mode, rename & copy to notepad and others I can't think of right now but it always says it is in use. Bitdefender says to delete it in safe mode but I can't get to BD while in that mode. They say they are keeping the computer secure by its blocking but isn't there a way to get rid of this?

Any suggestions?

go get superantispyware free, install, hit update, choose your C drive to scan do a full scan allow it to clean everything it finds.

then go get malwarebytes, install, update, scan

* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.

then go here and do an online scan

Ravencajun...I forgot to add that I tried to download Super AntiSpyware but after 4-1/2 hours I gave up and I just tried this afternoon after reading your reply and it just won't download. I thought maybe Bitdefender's firewall was preventing it so switch over to MS and still its a no go. I'm at a lost. Great advice though so thanks.

who the heck are all these new people and some of the things suggested here are not the ones you want please be careful we have had some trolls here lately trying to sell their junk. You can not run 2 antivirus programs at the same time if they are both running full time it will cause a conflict that is very well known and documented and will be told to you at any of the support forums you go to so you need to fully remove Norton since you now have AVG. go here and use app remove and the norton removal tool from the security garden link Antivirus Product Removal Tools Using AppRemover it is free spybot search and destroy was at one time very good but today there are some that are much preferred so I suggest replacing spybot and adaware with these free products, update them each time you use them and scan weekly with full scan. Dennis, thanks for a well laid out list of problems. It does help those who feel they can see some or all of your problems. AVG is by far the most popular free anti virus and I doubt that is your issue. I would not remove that one. Spyware Doctor I know nothing about. If you have the original CD or the download stored on your computer you could remove it entirely using the Add/Remove and see if that helps at all. Superantispyware and or Malwarebytes could be alternatives to trying Spybot Search & Destroy. If you use Spybot S&D be sure it is in fact that program and not a sound alike rogue program. Have you ran any cleaners at all? Not registry cleaners but the Disk cleanup in the Accessories/System Tools folder of XP. Try that and a defrag, it will help modestly. Do you have Google or Yahoo toolbars and are they allowed to run in the background? The Google Toolbar has either 3 or 4 entries in your Startup and using your resources. Click Start click Run type msconfig click OK click the Startup tab Now check each of these items and decide if they do in fact need to run. Google each entry before deciding to stop one because if you stop the wrong ones the computer may not start again. If you stop any you need to reboot. During the reboot you will get a dire warning, do not be alarmed, place a check mark not to see it again and continue the booting.

The clamwin program did find some trojans but doesnt seem to have the capability to delete the infected files. by the way i am using windows XP home edition. If you can't download the tools required to remove the infections you will need to take the laptop in for service or reinstall the software..

did you do the online scan I provided? that should be able to be done since it is online and requires no install. Do that and see if it will clean it for you.

If you have access to another pc simply use it to download the programs exe and burn it to disc then put the disc in that infected pc and install it from the disc. You can always download from another pc then just burn to cd or dvd and install from there.

Ravencajun ... Re my Laptop Problem... I think my downloading problem has to do with IE7. I have Firefox on my desktop and haven't used IE for years so I tried to download Firefox and it won't accept it. When I try to download anything or even try to get into this site the page goes blank but the toolbar & tab say I'm there but nothing on the screen (white page). I copied firefox from my desktop and tried to put it into the programs directory but no go.
What do I need to do in IE7 for it to accept downloads? I changed the certificate setting but still doesn't accept any downloads. I'm just not familiar with IE7 and am sure that might be the problem. Thanks

ok I don't understand why if you have a desktop available you do not do as I suggested and download it on the desktop pc burn to a cd or a flash drive put that in the laptop and install from there ? at the very least try doing it that way to get firefox on it so you can see if you can then use firefox.

did you run any of the mentioned online scans which do not require any type of download?
