kvm swicth & lcd monitor issues

I purchased a Gateway PC this year and really enjoyed my being able to record television shows from my cable provider using the XP Media Edition. I purchased a KVM Switch so that I could use multiple pc's with the one monitor, key board and mouse.

Since installing the KVM switch when the Media Center program runs my display is all messed up and I can't do amything with it.

I am at a loss as to why this might be happening and what I might do to correct it. When I disconnect the KVM switch and connect the same LCD monitor directly to the computer this problem does not happen.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. With the new television season getting ready to begin soon I would like to record many of my favorite shows. One option if I can't resolve this problem is to invest in a TiVo which brings up another set of questions.

Thanks,

I assume since you refer to 'multiple pc's' you have a 4 port KVM switch. Was there any software with this? I always used a 2 port KVM which just required me to hit the scroll lock button twice. How do you swap towers with your switch. What brand and model do you have?
