Your Countertop Remnants - What would you do?
Comments (7)Jodi, I'm not familiar with Impala Black, so don't know if matching is an issue. Just saying that you will want to KEEP at least one good sized piece in case, God forbid, you ever need to replace/match up your current counter. Then you can take that piece to yard. As a gardener, before I'd give away pieces I couldn't use inside, I'd make them into stepping stones, or even your long, narrow piece could be a retaining wall cap or outside coffee table, etc. I sell plants from home, and I have a ~2' X 4' rectangular stone piece that we have moved from (I think 4 or 5) several houses, and I just prop it up on cement blocks to use as a table surface. It's also conveniently beside the hot tub, so good to place things on there too....See MoreDid you keep your granite remnants?
Comments (32)Sorry to do a bit of hijacking here but I too was wondering - only they're 2x6 honed calacatta marble tiles that are either too plain white looking or too busy looking with the veining. What I put on my backsplash is just light veining. Subway tile, which it essentially is, would look awkward onddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddsssssss Ok I just have to say - and this is funny: it's only 6:08 pm Pacific time but I got less sleep than usual last night and am more tired than usual. I was typing the above - as I lie here in my nice cozy bed with my laptop - when I dozed off. That's why the letters are doing that! Isn't that funny?! Too funny to delete - and hopefully someone besides me gets a kick out of that! Back to what I was sayingggggggggg (just kidding) - an outdoor table would look silly tiled in subway tile, of course. Any ideas as to what to do with left-over subway tile that's too plain or too busy? It's too soft to make a path out of. Sorry again for the hijack....See MoreAnyone have caesarstone Concrete color remnant
