Is there a half way simple way to fill out a pdf form using my computer? HP computer - XP OS - SP3

I don't think you can with Adobe reader but I haven't used it for some time. You can with PDF-XChange Viewer which I use.

you can always just save the pdf file to your pc then open it with xchange.

Many PDF documents are created as "Fill-in" documents. Even if you only have the free Adobe Reader, you can type in the pertinent information and print out the completed document. Sometimes you are allowed to save the document with the info you've filled in, but most times you can't -- they're simply a "fill and print" document. The newest versions of Adobe Reader generally (but not always) will allow you to save a fill-in document with your changes. But, at least when you've typed in the information and printed it out, it's much more professional and "polished" looking to turn in, especially for a job application. I have an older full version of Adobe here at home. If you want to contact me through my page here at the KT, and give me your e-mail address, I will respond and you could send the PDF application (blank) to me and I can create a fill-in document out of it and send it back to you.

What a fantastic response. So send the recipes to my e-mail. DH says put the title of the recipe in the "subject" line. Then we need a picture and or a slide show link is good too if you are demonstarting a technique...like when I did the breadmaking and rhome did her wonderful demo. So we need the link in the e-mail. The idea , for the web site, is that for ex. if you want a cake recipe. You will go to cakes...and you will see pictures of all the cakes and the name of what they are and when you click on the picture you will get the recipe and the bigger picture also. How does that sound? We can have whatever categories you want...food prep for remodel time is a GREAT one. Easy nutritious wonderful ways to share meal time while under such stress . What a fantastic way to help everyone keep their sanity and help relieve all the upset of the demo/construction time. OK so it is upto everyone to do this. Recipe/pic-slideshow...my e-mail and I will start saving them in folders. Also if it isn't obvious...say dessert or salad etc then I need to know what category...so maybe Category-recipe name-picture...I can hardly wait. What a great group this is! c

Glad to help. Many people on this forum uninstall Adobe Reader because it is a resource hog and subject to malware. I like the PDF Xchange viewer but there are other good choices.

I agree 100% with Gene. Also, AR deeply configures into the system. If a user does decide to remove AR, I recommend the use of REVO set to Advanced Mode. When asked for permission to remove orphan folders, files and registry entries permission should be granted.

A follow up with CCleaner's registry tool is a good idea too. On the CC report only select the entries known to be relating to AR. NO guessing and use the offered backup.

Thanks for the info about PDF-XChange Viewer. I also was interested in reading about Foxit Reader. Indeed, Adobe Reader is a resource hound. What kind of limitations, if any, are to be expected from using PDF-XC V vs. Adobe Reader? Or from Foxit Reader, if anyone uses it?

I haven't found any limitations if the time (I think at least two years, but may be off)I've been using it. I haven't used Foxit Reader but I feel sure it will do anything Adobe Reader will.

I have been using Foxit Reader for some time, and it has served me well. Easy on resources, too.
